Crochet Surface Slip Stitches

Insert hook into crocheted fabric from the
front to the back. Keeping the yarn at the
back, pull up a loop. Insert hook in the next
spot specified, from front to back. And pull
up a loop through the fabric and through
the loop on the hook. Repeat as instructed
to make the surface chain.

Sewing/Joining Flat Pieces

Starting on the first piece, insert your
needle under a crocheted stitch, from back
to front to back. On the corresponding
stitch on the second piece, insert the needle
from front to back to front under the stitch,
horizontally.
