A Detailed lesson plan in Math III

At the end of the lesson, atleast 75% of the learners will be able to:

I. OBJECTIVES:
a. identify the three dimensional shapes;
b. appreciate the importance of three dimensional shapes in our lives; and
c. construct a three dimensional shapes
II. SUBJECT MATTER: Three-dimensional Shapes
a. References- Let’s learn Math 3 (pgs.45-46)
b. Materials-,pictures,flash cards,solid figures
c. Strategy- cooperative learning
d. Values Integration- courage, and positivity
III. PROCEDURE

TEACHER’S ACTIVITY LEARNERS’ ACTIVITY

A. Preparation
Good morning class, please stand for our prayer. Learners will stand.
Before you sit down kindly pick up some pieces of
papers and kindly arrange your chairs properly. Learners will response.
During our class, I have rules that you must follow
and that is to listen to me, avoid being noisy, and if
you want to answer kindly raise your right hand.
Did you get it class? Yes sir
Very good.
B. REVIEW
Okay class, let’s have a recap first.
What was our lesson yesterday? Anyone? Learners will raise their hands.
Okay (name of the learner) We discussed yesterday about the 2 Dimensional
Shapes.
And what is a 2 Dimensional shape class? 2D shapes are shapes with two dimensions,
such as width and height.
it is flat and cannot be physically held, because
they have no depth, it is completely flat sir.

And what are the examples of 2 Dimensional shape Circle, triangle ,square, and rectangle sir.
class?
Impressive.
C. MOTIVATION
Now class, before we go through our discussion.
Let’s have a game first, Who wants to play? Learners are raising their hands.
Alright, so before that listen to my instruction. Is Learners are listening
that okay? Yes sir
The name of the Game is,” Pass the 3D”
So, I have a box here and inside it is some kind of
3D Shapes. I will be playing a music and what you
are going to do is to pass to your classmates the 3D
Shape and if the music stops, the one that is
holding it will guess/name the 3D Shape he/she is
holding.
Are we clear class? Yes sir
Okay let’s start. Learners will participate.
D. LESSON PROPER
Okay class, our lesson for today is about the 3D
SHAPES. Learners are listening.
3D Shapes are shapes with three dimensions, such
as width,height,and depth.
What is 3D Shapes again class? 3D Shapes are shapes with three dimensions, such
Very good as width,height,and depth
So we have first here is the CUBE

It is a 3 Dimensional
shapes solid object
bounded with six square
faces, facets or sides, with
three meeting at each
vertex.

It has three parts the Face, edge, and vertex.

Again, what are the Face, Edge, and Vertex
three parts of a cube?

The second here is the

CONE

Learners are listening.

It is a 3D geometric shape that tapers smoothly
from flat base to point called apex or vertex.
It has vertex, curved surface, and circular
circumference

The third one here

Learners are listening and responding
is the SPHERE

It is perfectly
round geometrical
object in three-
dimensional shape
that is the surface
of a completely
arounds balls.

It has center,radius,diameter, and the

circumference
Lastly, is the CYLINDER.
Learners are listening

It is a closed solid
that has two
parallel bases
connected by
curved surface.

It has two parallel circular bases at a distance

E. GENERALIZATION
Okay class, what is 3 Dimensional shapes? 3D Shapes are shapes with three dimensions, such

What is a Cone? A 3D geometric shape that tapers smoothly from

The vertex, curved surface, and circular flat surface

What are the parts of a Cone? sir
What is a Sphere? A perfectly round geometrical 3D Shape that is the
surface of a completely arounds balls
What are the parts of Sphere? The center, radius, diameter, and the circumference

a closed solid that has two parallel bases

What is a Cylinder? connected by curved surface sir
has two parallel circular bases at a distance
What are the parts of a Cylinder?

IV. EVALUATION
Name:
