Procedures
A. Preparatory Activities Prayer
- May I call Carolyn to lead
our Prayer. Please all stand
and lets us vow our head to
our Prayer. ( Carolyn will lead the Prayer).

- May I know who is absent
for today? - Good morning Ma’am.

- Okay, that’s good.

- No one is absent todays,
Teacher.
B. Purpose of the In our lesson, the students will
Lesson describe the Three Dimensional
Objects, Name the different
examples of Three Dimensional
Objects and Group the different
Three Dimensional Objects
according to their distinct
characteristics.

C. Review Before we proceed to our next

lesson, may I know if everyone are
really listening in our last
discussion which is all about the
four basic shapes.
This will be your review called
“Name Me”

I want you to tell what shapes are

in the picture.
- Circle
- Rectangle
- Square
- Triangle
D. Motivation
I will present the video
presentation regarding on our topic
which is all about the Three-
Dimensional Objects.

https://youtu.be/74JhwbsVXQ8?
feature=share

After watching a video

presentation, I will ask them what
is video all about?

And what are the shapes are

there?

- The video all about is the

Very good class. 3d shapes

- There are pyramid, cone,

cylinder, sphere and cube.
E. Presenting I will present objects and then
examples/instances of students will tell the name of the
the new lesson objects.

F. Discussing new Now class, let’s proceed to our

concepts and practicing discussion.
new skill
PYRAMID – is a structure with a
square base.
Corner Vertices: 5
Faces: 5
Edges: 8
CYLINDER – is a closed solid that
has two parallel bases connected
by a curve surface.
Corner Vertices: 0
Faces: 3
Edges: 2
SPHERE – is a perfectly round
geometrical object.
Corner Vertices: 0
Faces: 0
Edges: 0
CONE – is a three-dimensional
geometric shape that tapers
smoothly from a flat base to point
called apex or vertex.
Corner Vertices: 1
Faces: 2
Edges: 1
CUBE – is a three-dimensional
solid object bounded by six square
faces, facets or sides, with three
meeting at each vertex.
Corner Vertices: 8
Faces: 6
Edges: 12
Again class, what are the five 3d
shapes did you observed?

What are the 3d objects I used?

- Cylinder, cone, pyramid,

cube, and sphere shape,
Teacher.

Great class.
- The party hat, the rubiks
pyramid cube, box,
christmas ball, and a toilet
paper roll.

G. Developing Mastery Now let’s have a short activity.

Called “SORT ME”
Instructions:
● I will group the class into
two groups.
● Each group has 10
representatives.
● Each group will receive an
envelope with the shapes.
● They need to group the 2D
shapes and 3d shapes.
● After that they will receive a

reward and share.

What are the 2d shape?

Very good class. How about the 3d

shapes? What are they?

- Diamond
- Square
- Triangle
- Rectangle
- Pentagon
- Cylinder
- Sphere
- Pyramid
- Cone
- Cube
H. Finding Practical
Application of Concepts “PICK ME”
and Skills
● Students will be divided into
5 groups.
● And each group has 1
representative.
● Each representative will
pick a picture of 3d objects
from the box.
● And the paste in on the

board and tell what types of

shapes are they.

- It is cube shape.
- It is Pyramid shape

- This one is a cylinder

- This is a cone shape

- And this one is sphere

shape.

I. Making Generalization What are the common types of

Three-Dimensional Objects?

- Sphere, cylinder, cone

pyramid and cube.

IV. EVALUATION
1. How many faces of the sphere object?
a. 0
b. 1
c. 2
2. How many edges of the cube?
a. 6
b. 12
c. 8
3. What do you call if the three dimensional has bounded by six square faces?
a. Cylinder
b. Cone
c. Cube
4. How many edges of the cylinder object?
a. 0
b. 2
c. 3
5. How many corner vertices of the cube?
a. 6
b. 8
c. 12
“YOU COMPLETE ME"
The teacher will give an activity entitled “You Complete Me!” this activity is only for 1-2 minutes
Instructions:
1. The teacher will group the class in to 6 groups.
2. Each group has 5 representatives.
3. The teachers will give each group an envelope.
4. The students will arrange the picture puzzle to complete the 3D objects, and tell what kind of
3D shapes are.
5. And they will do this in 2 minutes.
