You have received this letter because you have applied for a residence permit. To
help us process your application, read this letter carefully and do as instructed within
the given time limit.
STUDIES
According to the Studen registration system your studies at VAMIA started on August
3, 2020.
We ask you to send us the following documents:
- certificate of attendance from VAMIA
- resignation letter from VAMK, if you are not longer studying there.
- an updated transcript of records issued by VAMK, showing which credits you have
completed and when

MEANS OF SUPPORT
To get a residence permit for studies, you must have at least 560 euros per month at
your disposal. If you apply for a residence permit for a year, you must have at least
6,720 euros at your disposal. For a two-year permit, you must have 13,440 euros.
We ask you to send us the following documents:
Bank statements from all your bank accounts. Please note that a balance statement
alone is not enough. The bank statements must show:
- the name of the account holder
- the account number
- the balance of the account
- the currency
- all account transactions starting from August 1, 2020 and until the latest possible
date.
Certificate from your educational institution of any benefits offered to you, such as
housing, meals or spending money.
If you have loans or debt, send us a written statement explaining, in your own words,
what kind of loans or debt you have. In addition, attach a promissory note and a
repayment plan, if such documents exist. If you have a bank loan, send us a loan
agreement showing the loan terms and your repayment plan.

status of your application online in Enter Finland.
Please wait patiently. You can trust that we are processing your application even if it
takes time. When a decision has been made, you will receive a notification by email.
You will also see in Enter Finland that a decision has been made.
We will decide the application even if you do not reply to this request. However,
without the information we have requested we cannot investigate whether the
requirements for the residence permit are met, and that may lead to a negative
decision.
