(SLAC) SY2021-2022

I. Title of the Activity: 2022 School Based INSET/SLAC

II. Rationale:
Education is a continuous process to have a lifelong learning even the time of
pandemic. Distance learning is applied in every school whereas our school supports
the continuing professional development of each teaching personnel based on the
principle of learning through the School-based Learning Action Cell (SLAC)INSET.
It has been considered crucial to the maintenance and sustaining the capacity of the
teachers to continue providing quality teaching and learning despite the continues
mutation of COVID 19. One of the major problems of the teachers and parents is on
how to be their children/pupils read and understand mathematical problems.
Likewise, teachers find difficulty in rating the learner’s performance. In order to
address such learning needs of the pupils, teacher’s capability on Kamalayang
Ponolohikal, Pagtuturo ng Pagbasa ng may Pang-unawa,Pagtataya at Pagmamarka,
Mathematical Problem Solving (Routine and Non-Routine), and Positive use of ICT
to Facilitate the Teaching and Learning Particularly in Mathematics, will enhance
and refine their Professional Development during this hard times.

III. Objectives:
This activity aims to:
 Provide avenue for teachers’ reskilling on the different strategies in teaching.
 Improve teachers’ KSA in distance learning.
 Foster commitment and dedication as agents of change on the implementation of
learning deliveries.

SCHOOL- BASED LEARNING ACTION CELL (SLAC)

To: ALL TEACHERS

1. In line with the Division Memorandum no. 21 s.2022, this school supports the continuing
professional development of its teaching staff based on the principle of lifelong learning
through the school-Based Learning Action Cell (SLACs), thus the conduct of the Division In-
Service Training (INSET) for teachers this February 2-4, through face-to-face platform will
be held at Uson Elementary School.
2. This week-long capacity building activity for teaching personnel aims to:
a. Provide avenue for teachers reskilling and upskilling through Professional learning
community
b. Establishes a support mechanism to continuously improve teachers’ content and
pedagogical knowledge, practice, skills, and attitudes and
c. Foster commitment and dedication as agents of change.
3. Participants of the INSET are all Teachers of Uson Elementary School.
4. Expenses relative to the conduct of the activity shall be charged against School MOOE
subject to the usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations.
