WHAT’S IN LESSON PREVIEW

If you are going to use slide presentations or moviemakers, here are


some tips to follow:
1. Background color should be dark such as black or navy blue.
2. Font color should be in contrast with dark background.
3. Font size should be around 32 to make it readable to a large
audience. Recommended font type is sans serif.
4. Do not crowd your slide with so many text and graphics.
5. Create your own graphics or illustration.
6. Consult the color wheel if you intent to use some color combinations.
7. Just present ideas or bulleted points.

This module guides the learners on how to make their


own multimedia presentation. At the end of this module,
you will know everything about multimedia presentation
that approaches modern technology that everyone can
relate more meaningful and personal way to work easier.

How to create a Multimedia Presentation Using a Presentation


Software?

Adding text and text animation

Step 1: Open a multimedia slide presentation. Type a title page and subtitle in a text
box.

Animations
Step 2: Add animation to the text by clicking the tab from the Menu.
Click add animation and choose the animation style (Entrance, Emphasis,
Exit)

Step 3: Customize the animation by clicking Animations Pane on Set the trigger
effects options and timing.

Adding a hyperlink
Step 11: A hyperlink is an electronic link that allows a computer use to move
directly from a marked place in a document to another or within the

document. To add a link, use the tabs found in the


menu. Explore different ways the hyperlink function can be used
insert clicking on

Step 12: To link an image or text to another slide or document click on the said
image/ text. Then insert hyperlink. Choose the highlighted icon. Then click
on the slide that you want to hyperlink to the image /text.

Step 13: To link an image /text to a website, highlight or click on the image or text.
Then insert hyperlink.

Embedding audio /and or video
Step 14: Embedding an audio or video will help enhance your presentation. To do

that ,simply choose from the Media tab.

Step 15: Choose a video from your computer file and it will automatically be added to
your slide. To view the video, play the “Slideshow”

WHAT’S MORE

Making Multimedia Presentation Using Moviemaking Software


Have you tried reporting in class using a slide presentation? Did you
experience making a slide presentation? Do you find this kind of presentation easy
and interesting? Learning is fun… and is more effective if one uses multimedia
features rather than using text alone.

Movie Maker is an application that lets you edit videos and create photo/video
presentations. Movie Maker has is adding a title, cutting the video, putting transitions
and creating HD videos. The biggest change that they made from the previous
Windows Movie Maker applications is the replacement of the timeline with the
storyboard

Here are some of the steps in creating a multimedia presentation using
moviemaking software.

Step 1: Launch the movie making software. Familiarize yourself with movie
creator interface.

Step 2: Click on each Menu bar to find out the features of the movie maker software

Step 3: Add pictures or videos to the storyboard by clicking . You must have
a ready picture saved in your computer. Notice that the storyboard pane will
be populated with pictures.

Step 4: Arrange the pictures to the sequence you want them to appear in the video.
Click and drag the pictures to their appropriate positions

Step 5: You may click (PLAY) in the Preview Pane every now and then to check on
the changes mode.

Step 6: Add a theme to your video which will be automatically apply animation and
effects to your video. Use this if you want to get quick results. Try to click on
the icons and see what changes happen to the video.

Step 7: Add text to the video by clicking any of the icons and observe the
Difference among the three. Customize the text.

Step 8: If you want to customize the effects and animations, click on a Animation
Apply transitions and path and zoom effect on each or all pictures.

Visual Effects
Step 9: You can also add effects to any part of the video. Click on
Find out how these visual effects can add mood and dramatic feel to your
video.

Step 10: Add music to enhance your video. Make sure that the music will you use

matches with the pictures or theme of your video. Click may be


added in any part of the video.

Step 11: Once you have added the necessary effects, save your work for future
editing. Go to File Menu then Save Project As. Assign a file name to your
project.

Step 12: Once you have finalized your project, you are ready to package it into a file

That can be played with different media players. Click on the icon
and select the appropriate format.

Creating your own video presentation makes it better. It


makes you explore a lot of things through multimedia. Do
not copy others work it is considered plagiarism. If you
need to borrow other people’s ideas, you have to cite
them or mention them as a source. Create your own
graphics too.
