VxRail Integration into CloudIQ is a multi-phase effort to integrate SaaS multi-cluster management functionality into
the CloudIQ portal. In CloudIQ, users can benefit from global visualization and single-system views of their VxRail
clusters from the System Health, Inventory, Capacity, and Performance tabs. Simplified health scores, capacity
forecasting, and performance graphs of VxRail clusters are available in CloudIQ.

• CloudIQ has added display of detailed information for all datastores created on a VxRail system including
name, type, usage, and capacity.
• CloudIQ has added display of the HCI mesh configuration (vSAN datastore sharing) for VxRail systems. The
new vSAN Datastore Sharing field indicates the HCI mesh role including Server, Client, Server and Client,
Not Supported, and Unavailable.

1. Do a health check on your environment a few days ahead of the upgrade to ensure your environment is in
good shape
2. If you have the opportunity to do so prior to the upgrade, reboot each node ahead of the upgrade. If issues
are likely to happen due to pinned VMs or other such items, it will likely happen during the node reboot cycle
of the upgrade, so rebooting each node ahead of time will ensure that these issues are addressed prior to the
upgrade.
3. If possible reboot PSC and then VC in that order if they are internal to ensure all services are running
correctly prior to the upgrade.
4. Ensure you have sufficient free space available for downloading the upgrade bundle.
5. Ensure that the host you are performing the upgrade from is located on the VxRail cluster or has adequate
bandwidth for uploading the bundle.
