ELECTION – ION = ELECT + TRI + CITY = ELECTRICITY

Questions will be asked to the students:

1. What is ELECTRICITY?
2. What are the uses of electricity?
3. How important is electricity in your life? VALUES INTEGRATION

ANOTATION:
KRA 1- Objective 1

Integration
1. the pressure from an electrical circuit's power source that
pushes charged electrons (current) through a conducting
loop, enabling them to do work- LATEGOV
2. a transfer of energy over time (just like un-prefixed power),
however, it specifically refers to energy transfer in the form
of electricity, sending electric current through conductors.-
WERPO
3. the movement of particles, starting at the moment when an
external voltage is applied at one of the ends of the
conductor.- RENTCUR
4. an inductive electrical device for changing the voltage of
alternating current.- FORTRANMERS
5. the measure of the amount of electric charge in motion per
unit time.- REPEMA

6. The teacher will discuss the process of electric generation,

transmission, distribution , and calculating electrical energy
used using a PPT presentation or a short video clip.
ANOTATION:

KRA 2 Objective 9

Selected, developed, organized, and used appropriate teaching and learning

resources, including ICT, to address learning goals. (PPST 4.5.2).

With the use of a PPT presentation/ video clip as a

learning resources helped in addressing the learning
goals.

C. Analysis After the presentation/ discussion

Processing of the learning inputs.

1. What does power plants generally use to convert

kinetic energy into electrical energy?
2. What are some of the famous and active power
plants in the Philippines?
3. What do you notice about the size of the
transmission lines as it reaches the
consumers??
4. Does the size of wires and cables used matter in
energy transmission?
5. What happens to the voltage that travels from the
source to the consumers?
6. What is the flow of transmission and distribution of
electricity?
7. Mr. Dela Cruz’s electric meter reads 8765 kWh last
month. How much will he pay for power generation if
the charge of VECO per kWh is 13.88 pesos (includes
both generation and distribution charges - VECO rate
as of May 2023) and his electric meter reads 9975 for
this month? NUMERACY SKILLS
8. What if you have 50-inch TV, washing machine, 2
air conditioner, refrigerator, and electric stove at
home and your family have been using them for long
hours, what will happen to your monthly electric bill?

GRASP MODEL Performance Task
Students will be grouped into five.
Each group will be given certain types of appliances. They have to
discuss in their groups to site at least 5 energy saving tips for that
appliance assigned to them.
The group must choose a representative to share their energy
saving tip about such appliances assigned to them.

1. Copy and answer the Assessment part of Module 8 on

their notebooks.
IV. ASSESSMENT
2. Show solution if necessary.

At home try to check your Electric Meter or you Electric

Bills.

Compare your previous consumption and present

consumption.

Calculate the kWh that your household consumed after a

month.
V. ASSIGNMENT
As an output, photocopy or take pictures of your previous
and present bills then paste it on a short bond paper. Below
write your solution and description about your household’s
consumption.

ANOTATION: Using their own household’s electrical bill as a source of leaning,

application of learning, and as an output is an example localization. Since it is
something practical and that be found around them
