4) SPLR lights illuminates to indicate:

Associated spoiler has failed.
Associated spoiler is in the retracted position.
Associated spoiler is not in the retracted position.

5) Each of the two roll spoilers has a hydraulic actuator, which is controlled:
Mechanically, by the related aileron linkage.
Mechanically, by control of aileron deflection.
Electrically, by control of WHEEL position.

6) Spoilers start to move after a given aileron deflection (2.5?)

At low speed (after landing gear extension).
At low speed (flaps fully extended).
At all speed.

7) If both pitch trim rocking switches are used simultaneously in opposite direction:
Nose up action has priority.
Nose down action has priority.
Trim action stops.

8) During standby pitch trim control actuation:

Simultaneous action on a normal rocket switch and standby switch is not
recommended.
Normal control is isolated and autopilot is disengaged.
Normal control and autopilot remain available.

9) When standby pitch trim is set to neutral (after use):

Normal control and autopilot are available.

10) If one control column is jammed:

Pitch uncoupling procedure allows the other channel to operate one elevator.
Pitch uncoupling procedure allows the other channel to operate the two
elevators.
An automatic pitch uncoupling allows the other channel to operate the two
elevators.

11) In the yaw axis, pilot inputs act directly on the:

Rudder.
Rudder tab and through a spring on the rudder itself.
Rudder via an HYDRAULIC ACTUATOR.

12) Spring tab function reduces pilot’s effort:

At high speed.
At any speed.
At low speed.
13) How is controlled and operated the yaw trim action?
Electrically controlled and hydraulically operated.
Mechanically controlled and electrically operated.
Electrically controlled and operated.

14) How works the rudder trim?

Rudder moves as well as the control neutral position.
Rudder moves but the control neutral stays in position.
Rudder and the control neutral stay in position.

15) The yaw trim position indicator shows:

Units of trim motor displacement from neutral.
Rudder position.
Tab position.

16) An aural whooler alert is generated by CCAS in case of:

Pitch trim rocker use for more than 1 second..
1° Movement on pitch trim position indicator.
1° Movement on yaw trim position indicator.

17) The gust lock system acts on:

Roll control, pitch control and rudder control.
Roll control and pitch control.
Roll control and rudder control.

18) Stick shaker advice is activated by:

One STICK SHAKER ACTUATOR, attached directly on F/O’s control
column.
One STICK SHAKER ACTUATOR, attached directly on CPT’s control
column.
Two STICK SHAKER ACTUATORS, each one attached directly on F/O’s
and CPT’s control columns.

19) The stick pusher actuator is attached to the linkage of:

CPT’s control column.
F/O control column.
CPT’s and F/O’s control columns.

20) The flaps are controlled by actuators powered by the BLUE hydraulic system. How is the
flap hydraulic valve block controlled?
Electrically by DC STBY BUS.
Mechanically.
Electrically by DC BUS 1.

21) What is the meaning of the blue EXT flag on the flaps position indicator?
Flap valve is hydraulically commanding flaps extension.
With flaps extended, it indicates a hydraulic leak.
Flap valve is hydraulically commanding flaps extension. With flaps extended,
it indicates a hydraulic leak.

22) How is flaps asymmetry detected?

The maximum asymmetry authorized by the system is approximately 9?, no
specific alert is provided.
By the CCAS activation (MASTER WARNING).
By the CCAS activation (MASTER CAUTION).

23) What happens when flaps asymmetry occurs?

Electrical power to the flap control system is isolated and flaps are locked in
position.
Flaps control lever has no control on the system.
All of the above.
24) Flap unlock red light on CAP and warning alert is triggered when:
Flaps retract untimely more than 3° when flaps are selected at 30? or more.
Flaps retract untimely more than 3° when flaps are selected at 15? or more.
Flaps retract untimely more than 10° when flaps are selected at 45?.

25) The stick pusher actuator is attached to the linkage from which control column?
Captain’s
First Officer’s
Both control linkages

26) If the STBY PITCH trim switch on the pedestal is used for more than 1 second, an aural
whooler alert is generated by the CCAS.
True
False

27) The pitch trim switches on the yokes use power from which bus?
DC Bus 2
DC Bus 1
DC Emergency Bus
Hot Main Battery Bus

28) The STBY PITCH trim switch on the pedestal use power from which bus?
DC Bus 1
DC Bus 2/DC Emergency Bus
DC Bus 1/DC Emergency Bus
Hot Main Battery Bus

29) Which control surface linkages can be split?

Elevators
Rudder
Ailerons
Inboard and outboard flaps

30) When do the roll spoilers begin to move?

As soon as the wheel is displaced from neutral
After an aileron deflection of 2.5º
At full aileron deflection
When spoiler deflection is indicated on the overhead panel

31) The roll trim actuator acts on which aileron tab(s)?

Both
Left
Right

32) After failure of the BLUE hydraulic system, the roll spoilers would be inoperative and
probably float, causing illumination of the SPLR lights on the overhead panel.
True
False

33) In the yaw axis, pilot inputs act directly on the:

Rudder
