Anchored on Division Memo. No. 016, series of 2021, entitled “The Conduct of 5-Day
Mid-Year INSET”, Alubijid East District is committed to reach the goal of molding 100%

Thus, this in-service training is conducted. DepEd Order No. 42, s. 2017, recognizes
the unequivocal evidence that good teachers are vital to raising student performance
across all learning areas. Quality learning is contingent upon quality teaching. Hence,
enhancing teachers’ quality becomes of utmost importance for long term and
sustainable nation building.
Teachers are expected to possess and to embrace the 21 st century skills to be able
to meet the Department of Education Vision (century learning skills) to develop a culture
of excellence in all subjects in the new landscape where everything is VUCA-Volatile,
Uncertain, Complex, and Ambiguous. To achieve the 21st century teaching dexterity
level, the teachers should have the indispensable teaching techniques, good
personality, self-discipline, competence, and commitment. Significantly, 21st century
teaching is identified as the key stimulus on high quality outcomes of the 21 st century
students.
Furthermore, In-service training is a professional and personal educational activity for
all teachers to improve their efficiency, ability, knowledge, and motivation across all
learning areas and be able to apply this knowledge in the field of work. It is organized
to regain teacher’s effectiveness in the field. It is a scheduled activity after the national

2. Teachers need more knowledge about the new platform implemented. The
training and workshop should be strictly administered in accordance with the

Recommendations:
The following recommendations are taken from the participants during the open
forum:
1. If possible, the schedule of the training will not be simultaneous to cater small
schools to participate in all learning areas.
2. Provision of internet load.
3. It should be better that there will be assigned schedule per learning area.
4. The employees must be given fund for the gadgets and more hands-on activity
to upgrade the skills of the teachers.
5. Implementation of in-service training will be sustained to keep teachers’
knowledge and skills up-to-date so that they can provide high quality education
to the learners.

chance to strengthen existing skills as well as acquire new ones, which can lead
to more motivating and effective teaching.
7. Another set of training in Inclusive Education may be necessary to properly
