DIRECTIONS: Write a sports coverage using the following facts.

What: Municipal Meet volleyball eliminations

Where: Arayata Sports Complex, Tanza, Cavite

When : August 29, 2018 at 2 p.m.

Between : Saint John School (SJS) and Saint Mark Academy (SMA) Scores: 25-19, 23-25, 25-20, 25-20

Significance of the game:

SJS on 2-0 lead; routed Saint Joseph Institute (SJI) in previous outing

Heroes of the game:

Jerome Arbis and Noli Cruz combined for 17 points in last set

Quotes from SJS coach Rody Santos:

“My boys are pumped up from their victory over the Saint Joseph Institute Tossers.”

“This is a good start as we are gunning for the championship like our basketball varsityposting a 6-0
winning streak.”

Weather condition:

Heavy rains and thunderstorms brought by TyphoonMaring but the Arayata gym wasfilled to the rafter.

Spectators’ attitude:

SJS crowd favorite, predominately SJS crowd chanting cheers; SJS red and white clad mascot dancing in
front of SJS contingent

Reported injury:

SMA’s Jin Rivas sprained ankle after a bad fall in the second set;carried out of playing court and brought
to Family General Hospital

Highlights of the game:

SMA came on strong in second set with Joseph Rom’s mounting strong wallops Rom’s heroics aided by
Dan Sibal’s stopping ball on a service by SJS Richard Montes,also in second set
