Assembly procedure and user manual

Assembling the vessel

A pressure vessel must be carefully put together by integrating many
different parts to produce a dependable and safe container that can
resist high pressures.
Pressure vessel assembly calls for cautious preparation, exact execution,
and compliance with strict safety guidelines and legal requirements. The
structural stability and operational dependability of the vessel are
enhanced by every stage of the assembly process, from placing and
welding the shell to attaching fittings and performing pressure tests.

Here are the steps to assemble a vertical pressure vessel :-

1. Preparation
The first step is to gather all the required parts and tools to assemble the
vessel, while we ensure our working area is clean and safe. After that we
will review our assembly drawings and specifications.

2. Positioning and alignment

We place the shell horizontally on a stable foundation and align the
nozzle and head will the shell according to our design specifications.

3. Welding
we weld the nozzle to the shell using the welding procedure we
mentioned above(Gas metal arc welding or Gas tungsten arc welding ).
after we weld the head to the shell we ensure a strong and leak proof
connection.

4. Bolt and flange installation

We attach the flanges to the nozzle and head using bolts and nuts while
ensuring proper gasket placement between flanges for a secure seal.
Next we tighten bolts evenly using torque wrench.
5. Leg support installation
We position and weld leg supports to the bottom of the pressure vessel
while ensuring adequate spacing and alignment of leg supports for
stability.

6. Inspection and testing

We inspect all welds, bolts and connections for quality and integrity by
conducting a pressure test to ensure if the vessel can withstand
operating conditions. While we do this we will monitor for leaks or
structural issues during the pressure test.

7. Installation
Finally we install the pressure vessel to the given area. The first step is to
stand the whole assembly upright. We can do that by using a forklift.

User manual
This user manual will assist you in operating, maintaining, and
troubleshooting your pressure vessel in a safe and efficient manner. This
guide has all the information you need to ensure the safe operation and
best possible performance of your equipment, regardless of your level of
experience with pressure vessels.

Inspection before first use

The pressure tank may be used for the first time only after it has been
inspected by an approved inspection agency and has been judged to be
in an orderly condition with regards to its assembly, installation,
mounting conditions and safe operation.
Recurrent inspections
The pressure equipment must be periodically monitored by the
inspection agency at specified intervals to ensure that it is in orderly
condition. These inspections consist of internal inspections and strength
tests. Unless otherwise stipulated, internal inspections must be carried
out by the inspection agency at least every 5 years, and strength tests
must be performed at least every 10 years.

Inspection in special cases

If the pressure vessel has been modified in any way, it must not be put
into operation again until it has been checked by the notified body and
its operation found to be fault-free, so far as it is affected by the
modification. If the allowable operating parameters (maximum
allowable operating pressure, maximum allowable operating
temperature) have been exceeded due to the specific application or as a
result of external influences, or if the values have fallen below the
minimum levels, the pressure vessel must not be put in operation again
until it has been checked by the notified body and has been found to be
in a fault-free condition. This also applies if the tank has been exposed to
fire.
Saftey precautions for users

 High pressure can cause serious injury. This equipment is for

professional use only. Observe all warnings. Read and understand all
applicable instruction manuals before placing equipment into
service.
 Never alter or modify any part of this equipment, as doing so may
cause it to malfunction.
 Check all vessel components regularly and replace any worn or
damaged parts with only supplied or approved parts. Be sure that all
connected equipment and accessories are rated to withstand the
maximum operating pressure of the vessel.
 Wear all protective eyewear, gloves, clothing and respirator as
recommended by the manufacturer of the fluid used.
 Before pressurizing the vessel
i. Be sure all fluid connections to the vessel are properly secured
ii. Examine the vessel for cuts, leaks and wears. If any of these
conditions exist replace them by the appropriate material used
by the manufacturer.
