Introduction:
In emergency situations such as a vehicle breakdown on a highway with no cell service,
prompt assistance is crucial. The “ On-Road Emergency Assistance Project” is
designed to address this issue by providing an Android application that utilizes GPS
technology to pinpoint the user's location and send out an SOS signal to preselected
contacts. This application not only ensures quick and efficient help in emergencies but
also offers additional features such as a database of nearby service.

Existing System:
In current situations, individuals facing vehicle breakdowns in remote areas often
encounter challenges in seeking immediate help. The lack of a centralized system for
emergency assistance can lead to delays in response times and difficulty in locating
nearby services..
Proposed System:
The proposed system involves the development of an Android application with the following
key features:
 GPS Location Tracking: Utilizes GPS technology to accurately pinpoint the user's
location during a vehicle breakdown.
 SOS Signal to Contacts: Allows users to preselect emergency contacts who will
receive an SOS signal along with the user's location information.
 Location Tracking for Contacts: Enables selected contacts to track the user's real-
time location, facilitating efficient assistance.
 Database of Nearby Services: Integrates a database of nearby service stations,
hotels, and restaurants to assist users in finding help even in unfamiliar areas.

Use Cases:
The application's use cases include:
 Emergency SOS Signal: User triggers an SOS signal during a breakdown.
 Preselected Contacts: Users choose and manage a list of emergency contacts.
 Real-time Location Tracking: Contacts can track the user's location.
 Database Search: Users can search for nearby service stations, hotels, and
restaurants.

Feasibility Study of Proposed System:

The feasibility study of the proposed system will encompass:
 Technical Feasibility: Evaluating the technical requirements, including mobile
app development, data integration, and predictive modeling.
 Economic Feasibility: Analyzing the project's economic viability, including
development costs and potential savings for users.
 Operational Feasibility: Assessing the practicality and operational benefits of
the app in real-world travel scenarios.
 Legal and Ethical Feasibility: Ensuring compliance with legal and ethical
standards for data collection and privacy.

Tools/Technology or Infrastructure for Proposed System:

The primary tools and technologies for this project include:
 Flutter: For building a mobile application that works seamlessly on Android.
 Geolocation Services: For location-based services and mapping.
 Database Management: To store and retrieve fare prediction data.
 Google Maps API: Integration for GPS location tracking.
 Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM): Sending SOS signals to preselected contacts.
 SQL Database: Storage of user preferences and nearby service information.

Timeline
The project will be executed in the following phases:
 Requirements and Planning: 2 weeks
 Android App Development: 8 weeks
 Integration and Testing: 4 weeks
 Database Implementation: 2 weeks
 Documentation and Finalization: 2 weeks

Documentation
Comprehensive documentation will be provided, including:
 Technical Documentation: Details on application functionalities and
technologies used.
 User Manuals: Guidelines for users on how to utilize the application effectively.
 Project Report: Summarizing project objectives, methodologies, results, and
conclusions.
