Abstract
In the bustling environment of Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology Wudil, the
need for efficient and convenient transportation solutions has become paramount. This study
introduces a groundbreaking Android/iOS application aimed at revolutionizing ride-sharing and
carpooling experiences within the university community. The software integrates innovative
features such as wallet implementation for point storage, price control and updating, real-time
GPS tracking, and a unique driver availability notification system. Registration simplicity for
riders, involving only bank verification and mobile numbers, further enhances accessibility.
Introduction
The escalating transportation demands within Aliko Dangote University of Science and
Technology Wudil present an opportunity for the development of a cutting-edge Transport
Management Software. This Android/iOS application caters to the dynamic needs of both drivers
and riders, facilitating seamless ride-sharing and carpooling. As the university's diverse
community seeks efficient mobility solutions, this software addresses key challenges, making
transportation more accessible and user-friendly.
Aims
The primary aim of this project is to create an intuitive and efficient Transport Management
Software that caters specifically to the staff and students of Aliko Dangote University of Science
and Technology Wudil.
Objectives
The scope of this project encompasses the development of an iOS application tailored to the
unique transportation needs of Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology Wudil. The
software will enable staff with cars to register as drivers, post ride details, and allow other users
to search for available drivers in real-time. The focus is on creating a comprehensive solution
that enhances mobility within the university community.
Limitations
The development process will involve a systematic approach, encompassing software design,
coding, testing, and user feedback iterations. The integration of wallet implementation, price
control, and GPS tracking will be executed using state-of-the-art programming languages and
frameworks. Rigorous testing will be conducted to ensure the software's functionality and user-
friendliness.
This study holds paramount significance for the Aliko Dangote University of Science and
Technology Wudil community by providing a tailored solution to transportation challenges. The
software's features, such as real-time tracking and driver availability notifications, aim to
streamline mobility, fostering a more connected and efficient university environment.
