CINDERELLA
CINDERELLA
CINDERELLA
(Cinderella is cleaning the house while the Stepmother and stepsisters watch her.)
Narrator:
In a faraway kingdom, there lived a kind and gentle girl named Cinderella. Though she was good and hardworking, her
stepmother and stepsisters treated her unfairly.
Stepmother:
Cinderella! Hurry up with the cleaning. The house must be spotless before we go to the ball.
Stepsister 1 (Drizella):
And don’t forget to iron my dress!
Stepsister 2 (Anastasia):
And polish my shoes! The prince will only dance with me if I look perfect.
Mouse 1 (Jack):
Don’t worry, Cinderella. We’re here to help you!
Mouse 2 (Gus):
Yeah, we’ll get things done faster. You’ll see!
(A royal announcement is made in the village. The Royal Herald enters with a scroll.)
Royal Herald:
Hear ye, hear ye! The Prince invites all the ladies of the kingdom to a grand ball tonight. The Prince will choose a bride.
Every eligible maiden must attend!
Stepsister 1 (Drizella):
This is our chance! The prince will surely fall in love with me.
Stepsister 2 (Anastasia):
No, it’ll be me! Cinderella, help us get ready!
(The stepsisters and Stepmother leave for the ball, and Cinderella is left alone, feeling sad.)
(Cinderella is alone in the garden, crying. Suddenly, a magical light appears, and the Fairy Godmother steps forward.)
Fairy Godmother:
Now, now, dear. Why the tears? You shall go to the ball!
Cinderella:
But how? I have no dress, no carriage, no way to get there.
Fairy Godmother:
That’s what I’m here for! Let’s see what we can do.
(With a flash, a pumpkin turns into a carriage, mice become horses, and Cinderella’s rags transform into a beautiful
gown.)
Cinderella:
It’s beautiful! But what about shoes?
Fairy Godmother:
Oh, of course! (Waves her wand and creates sparkling glass slippers.) Now, remember, the magic will only last until
midnight. Be sure to leave before the clock strikes twelve!
Cinderella:
Thank you so much! I will remember.
(The royal ballroom is full of guests. The Prince stands with the Royal Herald, looking uninterested. Suddenly,
Cinderella enters, and everyone turns to look at her.)
Narrator:
When Cinderella arrived at the ball, everyone was in awe of her beauty, including the Prince.
Prince:
Who is that girl? I must dance with her!
Cinderella (nervously):
Yes, Your Highness.
(They dance together while the stepsisters, who don’t recognize Cinderella, watch jealously.)
Stepsister 1 (Drizella):
Who is that girl?
Stepsister 2 (Anastasia):
She’s ruining everything!
Cinderella:
I must go!
(Cinderella runs off, leaving behind a glass slipper. The Prince picks it up, determined to find her.)
Royal Herald:
The Prince will marry the maiden who fits this slipper! Every young woman must try it on.
(At Cinderella's house, the stepsisters eagerly try on the slipper, but it doesn’t fit.)
Stepsister 1 (Drizella):
It’s too tight!
Stepsister 2 (Anastasia):
It’s not fair!
Royal Herald:
Is there anyone else?
Stepmother:
Why would you? You don’t deserve it.
Prince (entering):
It’s you! I’ve found you at last.
Cinderella:
Yes, it’s me. I didn’t think you’d find me.
Prince:
I never gave up. Will you be my bride?
Cinderella:
Yes, with all my heart.
Narrator:
And so, Cinderella married the Prince, and they lived happily ever after. Her kindness and courage had brought her to
her dreams, proving that no matter how hard life may be, goodness will always shine through.
