Course Title RECREATION
Course Code/ Number PATH-FIT 4
Course Description The game volleyball is played by two teams each having two to six players on a 9x18 meter court. The primary objective of each team is to
try to hit the ball to the opponent’s side in such a manner as to prevent to opponent from returning the ball. This is usually accomplished by
using three-hit combination of forearm pass to a setter, followed by a set to another attacker, who spikes the ball into the opponent’s court.
This course tackles the history, nature of the game, fundamental skills of the sport that includes footwork, ball control, service, spiking,

tossing. Individual moves (offense and defense), basic team offense and defense. Through skills training, the game play/competition and
independent pursuits of physical activity (PA), fitness levels will be enhanced.

Course Policies
a. Attendance and Participation

According to CHED policy, total number absences by the students should not than 20% of the total number of meeting or 9 hours for 3-unit
course (6 meetings). Students incurring more than 9 hours as required (360) hours will automatically get an incompatible grade.

The student will get excuse letter sign by the adviser and program head if she/he come late in the class.

b. Submission of Assignment and other requirements


Student outputs should be submitted on time. Late submission of course outputs will not be accepted or will be subjected to deduction of
points. If students have justifiable circumstance, it must be discussed and a decision should be made before the due date.

c. Withdrawal of Subject
A student who decided to withdraw can drop the subject before the Midterm period. Withdrawal after the middle of the term exam might
mean a grade of 5.0. the Midterm Exam is posted in the academic calendar

d. Major Examination
Mid-Term and final examination will be administered as scheduled. No special exam will be given unless with a valid reason, subject for
approval of the Program Head. Furthermore, students of this course are required to participate actively in the events/activities organized for
this course.

e. Honor, Dress and Grooming Codes

For this course, the Honor Code is that there will be no plagiarizing on written work and no cheating on exams. Proper citation must be given to
authors whose works were used in the process of developing instructional materials/class-produced learning materials in this course. If a student is
caught cheating on an exam by his professor or substitute Professor, he or she will be given zero mark for the exam. If a student is caught cheating twice
on the same course, the student will be referred to the OSAS Coordinator and be given a failing grade.

Grave misconduct other than cheating will make likewise be given a failing grade. Disrespect to your teacher or to others in the classroom will not be
tolerated in the least. Argument is great but bullying, fighting, mocking and demeaning the teacher or other students will not be allowed. Come to class
on time, there can be mitigating circumstances from time to time but if it comes chronic behavior, you may lose points or credit in the class.

f. Consultation Schedule
Consultation schedule with the professor will be made as necessary. It is recommended that the student first set an appointment to confirm the
Professor’s availability.
