Imagine they are all at home and they are all busy.

Talk about what they are all doing. Record your voice.

We're in the kitchen. Winston is cooking dinner. Ashley and Becca are doing their homework. I'm
doing the dishes. But I'm also making this video! Where are the others? Well, Monica is in the
bathroom. She's washing her hair. Karl is helping his grandpa. They're washing the car. And
Grandma is watching TV in the living room.

Imagine that you are traveling and writing text messages to a friend. Your friend asks questions
about what you are doing.

Write your text message conversation. Write at least six text messages. Use at least three present
continuous questions.

Model

My friend: Hey, Ana. What are you doing? Are you going to work?
Me: No, I'm not. I'm on the bus.
My friend: Where are you going?
Me: I'm going to my parents' house.
My friend: You usually ride your bike there. Why are you taking the bus?
Me: Because I'm carrying a big plant. Oh, I'm at the bus stop now, and my dad's waiting.
My friend: A plant! Why are you carrying a plant?
Me: Because plants don't walk! Ha ha. Really, it's for my mom's birthday.
My friend: Oh, wow! Say happy birthday from me.

Imagine you're in a very busy place: at home, at college, at work, on a bus, in the park, at a mall,
on the street, or in your favorite café.
Write a blog post about the people you see and the things they're doing. Write about 70 words.

Today I'm writing my blog in the park. It's a beautiful day. Also, it's Saturday and the park is very
busy. A lot of people are in the park. They're all doing different things! A woman is running, and
she's listening to music on her earphones. A man is running, too. But he's running with his baby. A
lot of people are using their phones. A girl is sending text messages. A man is talking on the phone,
too. Children are playing, and a group of friends are walking together and talking. And me? What
am I doing? I'm sitting and looking at the people! They're all really busy!

Speak about what you're doing these days and what you're doing right now. Use your notes from
the last activity. Record your voice.

What am I doing at the moment? Well, I'm really busy. I'm studying at college and I'm also working
in a restaurant on the weekends. This week, I'm working on a special project for college. In fact,
I'm going to my friend's house to work on it right now. My friend's cooking dinner for me. We
often eat and study at his house.

What am I doing at the moment? I'm super busy! I'm preparing for my exams at college. Also, I
tutor high school students during the evenings. Right now, I'm getting ready to meet one of my
students. This week, I'm working with my study group on a project for our marketing class. We
usually grab coffee and study together at a café nearby.
