WALTHAM PLUS

BUTTERNUT

OUTSTANDING QUALITIES
 Improved selection of Butternut Waltham
 Larger fruits, better fruit shape, higher yield

Butternut Waltham PLUS is developed by Avanos Seeds as an improved version of the well-known
Butternut Waltham. Compared to Waltham, Waltham PLUS bears larger fruits with longer and thicker
necks. This means that the fruit has more flesh and weighs more. It is more attractive to the end-user,
the consumer. When ripe it turns increasingly deep orange in colour with good fruit quality and high
yield. The fruits have a post-harvest shelf life of over three months. The fruit can be left in the field for
about a month or two and can be stored in a well-ventilated shed or any other storage facility prior to
marketing.
