Procedureto deal with Vacant Seat e-Admission (Phase-l) in
Higher Secondary Schools for the Session 2024-25
Eligibility Criteria:
1. Applicants must have passed the High School Certificate (HSC) Examination of
the Boardof Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha or its equivalent Boards.
2. No reservation or weightage claim shall be considered for the vacant seat
admission.
Instructions:
1. Applicants and their parents/guardians are requested to thoroughly read the
"Common Prospectus" available on the SAMS portal before filling out and
submitting the online Common Application Form (CAF).
2. The CAF Fee must be paid through online mode only (details available in
Common Prospectus).
3. Candidates who applied during Phase-I and Phase-ll of the 2024 admission
process but were not selected for any Higher Secondary School can re-apply
using their existing login credentials without paying the CAF fee.
4. Applicants can edit their Common Application Form (CAF) one time.

6. Applicants are advised to fill out the online CAF carefully, as any errors may
lead to rejection.
7. The list of Higher Secondary Schools with vacancies will be made available
solely for preference and selection.
8. While adding a Higher Secondary School to your list of preferences, please
check its fee structure from the "Individual HSS Profile" on the SAMS website.
9. All relevant documents must be verified at the selected Higher Secondary
School at the time of admission.
10.Following Categories of applicants are eligible to apply:
a) Applicants who did not apply during Phase-l and Phase-ll admissions for
variouS reasons.
b) Applicants whowere previously selected but did not take admission, as
well as those who were not selected at all in Phase-l and Phase-ll
admissions.
11. In this phase, after correcting an applicant's errors using the "Error
Correction" module, if their marks meet the cut-off criteria, the Higher
Secondary Schools (HSSS) can allow the applicant by selecting the "Allowed"
button. Otherwise, the applicant will be excluded from the admission
procesSs.
12.There will be single Selection admission. Simultaneously merit & waiting list
(1:10) willbe notified in respect of each HSS. The nos. of seat that remained
vacant after admission of selected candidate (Phase-lll) shall be filled up from
waiting category asper the dateline.Waiting list willbe published in 1:10 ratio.

Procedures:
1. Fresh applicants need to register on the website "www.samsodisha.gov.in"
using their mobile number and email address. Those who have already
registered previously on "www.samsodisha.gOv.in" should use their existing
logins to apply afresh for admission.
2. All other processes, such as application submission, will follow the provisions
outlined in the "Common Prospectus" available on the website
"www.samsodisha.gov.in" for e-Admission.
3. Applicants will be informed about their selection and admission reporting time
via SMS/WhatsApp, through their SAMS login, on the HSS online merit list at
"www.samsodisha.gov.in', and on the HSS notice board. An intimation letter
will be generated in the applicant's login and shared through WhatsApp only
for the Phase-l,1t selection.
N.B.
1. Applicants can choose their preferred options, such as Higher Secondary
Schools and Streams, with or without existing vacancies. However, allotment
will be made based on seat availability as of 27th October, 2024. This allows
applicants to benefit from vacancies created during the online application
period. Applicants can't claim a seat for any vacancy that arises after 27n,
October 2024. Therefore, selecting and applying for options is the sole
responsibility of the applicants. Once a candidate is selected for SPOT
selection, the HSSLC will not be generated automatically along with the
Intimation Letter.
