MEASUREMENT PROBES
➊ TECHNICAL PERFORMANCE
MEASUREMENT PROBES • Nearly circular symmetric beam
• Extremely low sidelobes (30 dB nominal)
> Main use: • 60 dB isolation between adjacent diagonal horns
• 2.5:1 bandwidth or more
• Illumination of anechoic chambers
• Quasi-monostatic radar cross section (RCS) • Nominally constant gain and bandwidth
measurements
• Outdoor antenna and RCS measurements ➋ DESIGN
• Illumination of DUT for EW evaluations
• Material measurements
• Low sidelobes due to diagonal design
• Aperture defocusing produces minimal
> Delivered document: variations in gain
• Measured VSWR data
56
The low sidelobe level of the diagonal horn results in extremely low specular reflections
from chamber walls, thus providing substantially improved quiet zone performance and
greater measurement accuracy.

> Additional SATIMO - ORBIT/FR
Interface
The standard SOI interface allows for precise and easy positioning of any SATIMO standard antenna
with a 60 mm or 110 mm flange onto an ORBIT/FR measurement system. The interface consists of two
parallel flanges (SATIMO flange and ORBIT/FR flange) aligned by three precision rods. The assembly
is also equipped with a bubble level. The SATIMO circular interface allows the user to center the an-
tenna with very high accuracy. Antennas with the 60 mm flange are fastened by four M4 screws while
antennas with the 110 mm flange are fastened by four M5 screws. The alignment is determined by a
precision pin.

> EMC Tx and Rx Antenna Set
EMC APPLICATION
The set consists of a receiving active Mechanical M5 screws to fit Screws to fit tripod
interface with GP 100
antenna and a transmitting passive
antenna. The antennas operate in (1) 1 m diameter
near-field: the Tx antenna generates
an electromagnetic field by a vertical
monopole mounted on a ground plane,
and the Rx antenna operates mainly as
an electric field probe, realized by a short
monopole.
