The objectives of a Science Investigatory Project (SIP) can vary depending on the
specific project and its scope. However, here are some common objectives that are often
pursued in SIPs:
1. Develop Scientific Inquiry Skills
2. Apply Scientific Method
3. Foster Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving Skills
4. Enhance Research Skills
5. Promote Collaboration and Communication
6. Explore Areas of Interest
7. Encourage Innovation and Creativity
8. Develop Presentation and Communication Skills
9. Promote Scientific Literacy
10. Prepare for Future Science and Research Endeavors
These objectives highlight the multifaceted benefits of engaging in SIPs, including the
development of scientific skills, critical thinking abilities, and a deep understanding of the
scientific process.
The students will write their SIP or Capstone Project. As a coach and Trainer, you have the
following tasks:
 assist students in writing their research study
 seat as panel during the pre and final defense
 assist students in analyzing and interpreting the data
 assist students in doing the revision
 finalize the research study of the students
 submit the hard copy of the complete SIP.
