ch – chain stitch
st - stitch
sc – single crochet
dc – double crochet
sl st – slip stitch

BLO – back loop only
CL – cluster
3dcCL - a cluster of 3 double stitches.
A cluster of stitches, made into the same stitch or chain
space that are joined together at the top.

Finish the round in an invisible way: pull the end of yarn


through the last stitch completely, thread the end of yarn
through the needle, skip one stitch and guide the yarn into
the next stitch as shown on the photo.
Insert the needle back in the same hole where the yarn
comes from. Fasten the obtained stitch.
This stitch is called a «closing stitch». When you are
finished, fasten the yarn on the back side of detail.

1. YarnArt Jeans, 55% cotton, 45% acryl, 50g/160m, next


colors:

• for body – blue № 75


• for hat – white № 62, red № 26, orange № 85
• for nose - nude № 05

2. Some semi-wool or acrylic yarn of any thickness for


beard.
3. Crochet hook 2 mm or 2.25 mm (US: B, UK:14)
4. Fiberfill, thick sewing needle, pins.
5. 2 small beads, piece of cardboard 4 on 4 inch for
gnome’s base.
If you follow this advice your gnome will be 18 cm.

Assembly and decoration.
For beard cut the semi-wool yarn, tie a piece of yarn to
the 8 loops of 26 round.

Attach the arms to the body with some pins between 26 and
27 rounds of the body.
Attach the center of nose over the beard on the 26 round.

Snowman hat: Sew the nose on 11 rounds, eyes between 9 and


10 rounds, distance 4 sc. Sew hairstyle to the hat.
Embroidery the smile, eyebrows and hands.

Put on the hat. The tops of arms and nose should be placed
under the hat.
Take off the hat, sew the arms and nose to the body.
Put on the hat and attach it to the body with hidden

Distance between the pigtails 6 free loops.

Attach the arms and nose to the body with some pins.
Attach the arms between 23 and 24 rows.
Attach the nose in the center between the pigtails.

Put on the hat. The top of arms and nose should be placed
under the hat. Move them the way you like.
Take off the hat, sew the arms, beard and nose to the body.
Put on the hat and attach it to the body with hidden
stitches.
