WAWESHO COMMUNITY

Problem – Unemployment

Wawesho Youth Empowerment and Development Initiatives (WYEDI) to empower the youth through
skills development, job creation and entrepreneurial support.

CONSTITUTION

Wawesho Youth Empowerment and Development Initiative.

OBJECTIVES

 Providing vocational training and entrepreneurship programs for the youths.


 Promoting sustainable agricultural practices to create jobs.
 Facilitating access to financial resources i.e. microloans for start-up.

MEMBERSHIP

 Open to youths aged 18 to 35 of the community


 Membership requires an annual fee of 500 and a commitment to participate in the CBO’S
activities
 Members must attain at least 75% of the meeting annually.

MEMBERS OBLIGATIONS

 Pay contributions and any other payment as provided by this constitution


 Observe and comply with the organizations constitution and decisions taken by the organs of
the organization in accordance with this constitution
 Support projects carried out by the organization which are approved by the relevant authority.

RIGHTS OF MEMBERS

 All members have the rights to actively participate in the CBO’S activities
 Every s the right to vote in general meetings
 Members have the right to access all relevant CBO document i.e. financial reports and meeting
minutes

SUSPENSION FROM MEMBERSHIP

 Fail to ship fees


 Violate the rules regulations or code of conduct established by the CBO
 Engage in activities that harm the reputation or objectives of the CBO

MEETING PROCEDURES

 Annual General meeting

An AGM will be help once a year at a date set by the committee. The treasurer will give statement of
accounts to the organizations

 Special general meeting


There can be an SGM in case of any un foreseen occurrence. This will be constituted by the committee
with the office chair presiding

MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE

 Chairman
 Secretary
 Organizing secretary
 Treasurer

DUTIES OF COMMITTEE

 Shall approve progress reports


 Shall represent the CBO’S in all matters
 Shall nominate any member to fill the vacancy left by the office bearers

SOURCES OF ORGANIZATIONS FUNDS

 Registration fees
 Donor
 Grants
 Members contributions
 Fundraising

ACCOUNTING AND AUDIT PROCEDURES

The CBO ill maintain accurate financial records documenting all income, expenditures and member
contribution.

AMMENDEMENT PROCEDURES

Any member may propose amendments to the constitution during a regular meeting

DISSOLUTION OF THE ORGANIZATION

 The organization can be dissolved by three s are settled.


 After the organization is dissolved all assets shall be given to another CBO having similar
activities.

DECLARATION

This document has been formulated and agreed upon by all members of the Wawesho Community. It
will be the authoritative guidance on the running of the organization affairs.
