APPLICATION
The Gene Haas Foundation believes in educating people in career and technical education programs,
which results in high student achievement and aids in advancing students' education and a globally
competitive workforce. Highland students are among the most productive, innovative and dedicated
students, and Highland is honored to recognize their achievements by providing scholarships to
further their education.
The scholarship consists of several $1000 and $500.00 awards for students who will be enrolled in
the CNC program at Highland Community College for the upcoming semester. The student must be
enrolled in one of the following classes to qualify:
MTEC151-Machine Processes I
MTEC270-CNC Mill
MTEC280-CNC Lathe
MTEC285-Advanced CNC Machining
Financial Need:
A. A copy of the Student Aid report (SAR) or a copy of a completed Financial Aid
Application (FAFSA) must be on file at the Highland Community College Financial Aid
Office for the school year of the application.

In a brief paragraph, write about your educational goals and your plans to attain them.
Please staple an UNOFFICIAL copy of your most recent transcripts (college, high school, GED,
etc.) to your application. Unofficial copies of Highland transcripts MUST be obtained/requested
from the Admissions and Records Office; transcripts printed from ROAR will NOT be accepted.
I authorize Highland Community College to release my financial information and other academic
records to the HCCF Scholarship review committee for purposes that may be used to determine
eligibility for all scholarships.
