Ans: The desired applicant has to apply online through online portal. The link of the portal is
available on University website: www.ymcaust.ac.in.
I. RoHC: under this category candidate which are not from Haryana and also have not
passed their qualifying exam from Haryana are eligible to apply. Domicile or
residence certificate of any state other than Haryana will be an additional supporting
document for your claim under this category
II. HOGC: candidates who have passed their qualifying exam from any
Insitution/college/university situated anywhere in Haryana are eligible to apply under
this category without any other proof/document.
If any candidate has not passed his/her qualifying exam from Haryana but have
Domicile certificate/Residence certificate of Haryana issued by competent authority
will be eligible to apply under this category.
III. SC : Candidates Having Scheduled caste certificate of Haryana issued by competent
authority will be eligible to apply under this category. Candidates having SC
certificates from any state other then Haryana will not be eligible /allowed under this
category.
IV. BC-A : Candidates Having Latest Backward Class Block A caste certificate of Haryana
issued by competent authority and Income certificate mentioning gross family annual
income issued by competent authority will be eligible to apply under this category.
Caste should also be mentioned on the certificate. Also their caste should fall under
List of Block A of backward classes issued by Haryana Government. Candidates
having OBC certificate or Backward Class certificate from any state other then
Haryana will not be eligible to apply /allowed under this category. Income certificate
mentioning gross annual income issued after 17.08.2016 shall only be considered for
availing any benefit under BC(A) and BC(B) category.”
V. BC-B : Candidates Having Latest Backward Class Block B caste certificate of Haryana
issued by competent authority and Income certificate mentioning gross family annual
income issued by competent authority will be eligible to apply under this category.
Caste should also be mentioned on the certificate. Also their caste should fall under
List of Block B of backward classes issued by Haryana Government. Candidates
having OBC certificate or Backward Class certificate from any state other then
Haryana will not be eligible to apply /allowed under this category.
VI. PH : Candidates Having Physically Handicapped certificate in the prescribed format
issued from Chief Medical Officer of the concerned District are eligible to apply
under this category. Only the candidates having the permanent disability of not less
than 40% will be considered for admission as Physically Handicapped. However, the
certificate shall be subject to verification by a Medical officer of the university.
VII. ESM : Ex-serviceman himself /Wards of Ex-servicemen / Wards of Paramilitary
Forces of Haryana are eligible to apply under this category. Such Candidates are
required to submit the certificate in the prescribed Format from the competent
authority .
VIII. FF: Children & Grand-children of Freedom Fighters of Haryana having certificate in
prescribed format from the Deputy Commissioner of the concerned District are
eligible to apply under this category.
IX. HOGC-EWS : candidates having EWS Income and Asset Certificate (issued by
Tehsildar of the area where the applicant resides) and Haryana Residence
certificate/Haryana Domicile certificate are eligible to apply.

Ans: No, the University do not have any Sports Quota in admission.
Ans: the University is a State Government University and admissions are done strictly on the
basis of merit and there is no provision of Management Quota in admissions.
06. What should I do if someone asks for a bribe to get me admission into the
University?
Ans. Such cases can be reported directly to the University administration in the office of Vice
Chancellor in written or through mail at vc@ymcaust.ac.in with sufficient proof, if any. The
University will not tolerate any such incident and prompt action will be taken against the
culprit.
07. I have provided incorrect information while filling up the online registration
form and also paid the online registration fees. What shall I do?
Ans: After payment of the online registration fee, corrections, additions, deletions etc. in any
manner will not be allowed in the application form. The candidates are, therefore, advised to
fill their forms carefully. An incorrect form will be summarily rejected. Further, it is also to
inform that Email ID submitted at the time of registration will be used for all
correspondences until enrolment is completed. Change in Email ID will NOT be permitted
under any circumstances. Application Form Fee is Non-Refundable.
Ans: Applicants are strongly advised to use J.C. Bose University of Science and
Technology YMCA Query Management System (YMCA-QMS), rather than emailing, to get
quick response. The process is as under:
Ans: Yes, the applicant can apply for multiple courses by paying application fee and filling
the application form separately for each course. The registration ID and password will
remain the same.
Ans: Yes, if the candidate is applying under any reserved category (SC/ST/OBC/PH) then,
he/she must upload the scanned copy of Caste/Tribe/PwD certificate. The certificate must
be signed by any competent authority and the scanned copy should be self-attested.
Moreover, the certificates should be in the name of a candidate. The OBC certificate must
also specify that candidates belong to the non-creamy layer (NCL) and caste is listed in the
State Government list.
10. During the online payment, the amount has been deducted from my account
but I am still seeing the status 'pending' on admission portal.
Ans: Sometimes it takes time for the amount to be transferred to the university's account
(i.e. realization of fee payment) hence you need to be patient for the time being. If your
payment is not realized for more than two days then you may send an email to technical
query mail-desk mentioning all the details of the transaction. Resolution of such type of
queries will be taken up after the closing date of an online registration period.
11. Once University Cut-offs are declared, will the admission be offered on a first
come, first serve basis?
Ans: The University does not offer admission on the first come–first serve policy. The
admissions are offered only at through merit secured by applicants.
Ans: Yes, the applicant must be present on the day of admission/reporting in the University
along with the desired documents to get the same verified.
13. Can I fill online registration form even if I have a compartment in class XII?
Ans: No
14. My result is yet to be declared, can I still submit online registration form?
Ans: Yes, the applicant can apply for the admission subjected to the condition of having final
result at the time of last date of submission of online application form.
Ans: The applicant can pay application fee through online mode using Credit Card/Debit
Card/Internet Banking. Besides, such applicants who are facing any problem in online
payment, they can obtain a coupon of requisite amount which is Rs. 1075 for General
Candidates and Rs. 575 for SC/ST candidates belongs to Haryana, by producing a Demand
Draft in favour of Registrar, J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA,
Faridabad payable at Faridabad. No cash will be accepted for the same. The coupon can be
obtained from Academic Session of the University from 9 am and 5 pm during working days
(Monday to Friday).
Ans: No, there is relaxation in terms of qualification or application fee for women
candidates. However, reservation to women applicants will be applicable as per Haryana
Government reservation policy.
The University has taken an initiative to offer one seat to „Single Girl Child‟ which is
supernumerary in nature.
The decision in the effect is taken by the Academic Council and the Executive Council of the
University regarding creation of one supernumerary seat in UGC approved course/
programmes (except AICTE approved programmes VIZ B.Tech/M.Tech/MBA/MCA) being run
in the University Teaching Departments, for a single girl child of her parents. The details are
available in the Chapter-6 of the Information Brochure.

Ans: Yes, the University provides hostel facility for both – boys and girls, subjected to the
availability.
19. Does the University provide transportation facilities?
Ans. The University does not provide transportation but it is very centrally located in the City
of Faridabad, which is easily accessible using public transportation and auto.
Ans: Yes, the University has a well equipped air conditioned modern Central Library to fulfil
the information needs of its users. It has rich collection of more than 77000 print books,
3600 e-journals, about 6000 e-books and 124 print research journals. It is also subscribing
40 magazines and 16 newspapers. Library is having two reading rooms.
The Library is fully automated with the Libsys‟s LSEASE software. Members have been
provided Bar Coded Library Membership Cards. Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) is
available to check the availability of books in the library. It is having subscription of e-
resources from Springer Link, T & F, Elsevier‟s Science Direct, ACM Digital Library, IEL
Online, World e-book Library, Asian Archive etc. Library is the member of DELNET and E-
Shodh Sindhu Consortium.
21. Does the University provide assistance with placements for your students?
Ans: Yes, the University has a good track record in term of placements.

Ans. Yes, the University has introduced new courses from academic session 2019-20 which

25. Does the University conduct any entrance exam for admission to different
courses?
Ans. Yes, the University will conduct entrance exam for admission to MBA, MCA, M.Sc
(Physics, Chemistry & Maths) in the month of June, 2019. Further, all other courses except
B.Tech courses, the admission will be done on the basis of merit of qualifying examination
i.e. 10+2 or equivalent for UG Courses and Graduation or equivalent for PG courses.
26. What are the criteria for preparation of merit list for different courses.
Ans. The University offers MCA course of three year duration with an intake of 60 seats.
The eligibility criteria for admission to MCA course is:-
1. Bachelors Degree from any recognised university in any discipline of minimum 3 Yrs
duration with Mathematics/ Statistics at 10+2 level.
OR
Bachelors Degree from any recognised university in any discipline of minimum 3 Yrs
duration with Mathematics/ Statistics as one of the subjects.
OR
BCA Degree of minimum three years duration from a recognized University.
2. Obtained at least 50% (45% for SC/ST candidates of Haryana only) in the qualifying
Examination
Whereas, the University offers MCA (Lateral Entry) Course of two-year duration with an
intake of only 06 (six) seats. The eligibility criteria for admission to MCA (Lateral
Entry)course is as under:
