Q.1 Find the centre of mass of three particles at the vertices of an equilateral triangle . The
masses of particles are 10g , 20g and 30g respectively. Each side of triangle is 50 cm long.

Q.2 If two particles of masses m1 and m2 move with velocities v1 and v2 towards each other
on a smooth horizontal table . What is the velocity of their C.M. ?

Q.3 Find the centre of mass of a thin uniform L – shaped lamina ( a thin flat
plate ) with dimensions as shown in figure. The mass of lamina is 3 kg. {Ans. 5/6 , 5/6 }

-10i+35j-3k m/s respectively . Find the velocity of C.M. of the system .

then melted and recast in the form of a disc. Disc is then allowed to rotate about an axis

Q.10A flywheel rotating at a speed of 600 r. p.m. about its axis is brought to rest by applying

a constant torque for 10 seconds. Find the angular retardation and angular velocity 5
seconds
