D. Analysis/Discussion:
1. The students will be asked to answer the following questions:
1. What is latitude and longitude in simple terms?
2. Why are latitudes and longitudes useful to us?
3. How do you use latitudes and longitudes?
2. The students will answer the following questions base on the figures given.
Example: Which letter is located at 20 degrees West and 60 degrees North.
The answer is letter H.
1. An airplane crashes at 40 degrees north and 60 degrees east. What letter would you travel
to hunt for survivors?
2. What continent would you be on at 10 degrees south and 70 degrees west?
3. 0 degrees latitude, 0 degrees longitude, the intersection of the Equator and the Prime
Meridian, would be located in which ocean?
4. You receive a radio SOS call that a boat is sinking at 20 degrees south and 100 degrees

location?
IV. Evaluation:
The students will accomplish the Post-Test under Assessment on page 11-13 of Module
1.
