Project Idea and Proposal:

India’s rural areas face significant challenges when it comes to healthcare. Due to a lack of
infrastructure, medical facilities, and trained professionals, people in these regions often struggle
to access basic medical care, leading to poor heal outcomes. Our Rural Health Plus Project is
designed to change that by establishing healthcare centers that offer essential services like
diagnostics, minor treatments, and pharmacy support. These centers will cater to health needs of
people living in underserved rural areas and help bridge the healthcare access gap in India.

Our proposal is to create a sustainable network of healthcare centers using a franchise model that
allows local entrepreneurs to run these centers, while providing patients with easy access to
medical consultations through telemedicine. By making healthcare more accessible, we aim to
improve the quality of life for rural communities.

Problem we are Addressing:

The rural healthcare situation in India is concerning. Around 70% of the population lives in
rural areas, but these areas have less than one-third of the country’s healthcare facilities. This
creates long wait times and travel distances for basic health services. AS a result, many rural
residents don’t receive medical attention until it’s too late, which has led to high rates of
preventable diseases and poor health overall.

Rural Health Plus aims to address this gap by building local healthcare centers that offer basic
medical care, from blood tests to injections, and providing access toe remte consultations with
certified doctors through telemedicine. This will ensure that even people in the most isolated
regions have access to the care they need.

What we Aim to Achieve:

- We want to establish a healthcare center for every two villages, bringing services closer to
people’s homes.

- By connecting local centers with doctors via virtual consultations, we can provide timely
care even in areas where there are no specialists.
- By creating a franchise model, local business owners will run the healthcare centers,
boosting local economies and ensuring sustainability.

The Client:

Our primary clients include rural communities, franchise owners, and healthcare
professionals. The project also envisions collaboration with government bodies to provide
subsidized services through public health schemes.

Our Plan to Make it Happen:

- First, we will conduct thorough market research to understand the specific healthcare
needs of rural areas.

- After defining the features, we will start building the app, focusing on core functionalities
like franchisee registration, telemedicine integration, and health record management.

- The app will handle user registration, health records, diagnose data and payment process.

- Local health centers will be connected to certified doctors via video consultations.
Patients will visit centers for diagnostic, and results will be shared with doctors remotely for
consultation.

- We will launch a small number of centers in selected rural areas and use feedback from
patients and franchise owners to refine our system.

- Entrepreneurs can apply via the app to open a health center. They will receive training,
order medical equipment, and manage health records through a digital dashboard.

- We will begin with a pilot in select rural regions to test the model, gather feedback, and
refine the approach before expanding nationwide.

- After the pilot, we will expand the network nationwide, ensuring more rural areas benefit
from the program.

How we will Sustain the Business:

The Rural Health Plus franchise model has several ways to generate revenue:

- Entrepreneurs will pay to join the Rural Health Plus network and benefit from our support
and brand name.

- Income will be generated from the diagnostics, consultations, and pharmacy sales offered
at each health center.

- Franchise owners will buy their medical equipment and supplies from us, creating a
steady revenue stream.
Conclusion:

Through Rural Health Plus, we plan to revolutionize rural healthcare in India by creating
easily accessible, community-driven healthcare centers. By combing telemedicine, diagnostics,
and local entrepreneurship, we will offer life-saving services to people who would otherwise be left
without medical care. Our project not only addresses healthcare gaps but also provides job
opportunities for rural communities.
