Electrical voltage
For the duration of the commissioning and inspection work, make sure that:
Unwanted activation of the remote transmission equipment is reliably prevented.
The fire department has previously been informed before the remote transmission
equipment is activated for test purposes.
Activation of fire control operations which could cause costly damage is reliably pre-
vented
The activation of fire controls is reliable blocked until the final testing and the handing
over of the system to the customer
The responsible person is present when equipment supplied by other vendors is acti-
vated.
For work in explosion hazard areas the applicable safety precautions must be ob-
served.

Principle
The system reads all devices ‘as found’ and allocates each device to a separate ELE-
MENT and ZONE. After the ‘reading in’ is completed the display at the control panel
shows the number of devices ‘seen’ per line.

operating ACCESS: via PASSWORD, password consists of 4 digits
The 4 basic passwords can be programmed individually by the service engineer
After 3 consecutive incorrect password entries the operating access is disabled for 15
minutes
operating ACCESS: via KEY SWITCH (user 1), can also be made accessible if optional
key lock switch (Z3S020/030) is supplied
Editing of user text / Service functions (user 2) can be made available to the ’user 2’ if
required (by telling the password to the operator)

8.1 General
The fire detection control unit FC330A requires only little maintenance work. It has a high
degree of self monitoring, such as
detectors monitored on presence and wire break/short, series SynoLINE300/600 also
on drift (only OPxxxA and OHxxxA)
call points monitored on broken glass and wire break/short
line to alarm sounders monitored on wire break/short
line to externally located remote transmission device monitored on wire break/short
automatic ’battery load test’ every 24h
permanent system checking by ’watch dog’ function
programmed user function and user texts are stored in a Flash-EPROM
automatic switching of summer- to winter time and vice versa
Alarmcom recommends the following schedule for the system performance checks (see
table below). However, possible local national regulations have priority.
