QUESTION ONE
I: Basic Functions

a. Write a formula to calculate the total revenue for each product by multiplying the
Price by Quantity Sold.
b. Calculate the total revenue for all products combined using the SUM function.
c. Use the AVERAGE function to find the average price of the products.
2. II: IF Function

The table below shows the list of employees and their monthly sales:
Tasks:
a. Using the IF function, create a formula that categorizes each employee’s
performance as "High" if their sales are above 1500, otherwise "Low."
b. Write the formula in the column next to Monthly Sales and fill it down.
3. III: SUMIF and COUNTIFS

The following data shows product sales across various regions:
Tasks:
a. Use the SUMIF function to find the total units sold for Product X.
b. Use the COUNTIFS function to count how many times Product Y was sold in the
North region.
c. Use the SUMIFS function to find the total units sold in the South region for Product
X.
QUESTION TWO
a) Use Excel formulas to calculate the "Difference" for each category (Actual Amount -
Planned Amount).
b) Calculate the sum total of the Planned Amount, Actual Amount, and Difference.
c) Calculate the percentage totals for Actual Amount in a separate field
d) In your budget spreadsheet, use the IF function to determine whether the
"Difference" for each category is positive or negative. If the "Difference" is positive,
display the text "Under Budget"; if negative, display "Over Budget". Apply this IF
function to the entire "Difference" column.
a) Create a bar chart to visualize the budget categories and their differences.
b) Add a title and labels to make the chart clear and understandable.
a) In a new sheet, using pivot tables provide a summary of the average of the Planned
Amount and Actual Amount. (4 Marks)
b) Use conditional formatting to highlight cells in the "Actual Amount" column that are
greater than the average Actual amount. (3 Marks)
