Narrative (the creative writing piece)
Start
In the heart of a small town surrounded by the enigmatic Whispering Woods, lived
three people whose lives were about to intertwine in unexpected ways. The first was Tomás, a
young dreamer with a passion for botany. Since he was a child, he had spent hours exploring
the forest, fascinated by the plants and the secrets they held. His motivation was to discover a
legendary plant that, according to local stories, had the power to cure any disease. Tomás was
curious and persistent, always willing to delve into the unknown.
The second was Clara, a writer in search of inspiration. She had come to the town
fleeing the bustle of the city, hoping to find in the tranquility of the forest the words that
eluded her. Clara was introspective and sensitive, always looking for beauty in the everyday.
Her motivation was to write a novel that captured the essence of life and the mystery of the
forest. His empathetic nature allowed him to connect deeply with his surroundings and the
people he met.
The third was Javier, a middle-aged man who had lost his family in a tragic accident.
He had moved to the village to escape painful memories, seeking peace and redemption.
Javier was reserved and melancholic, but deep inside him burned the desire to find a purpose
that would restore his joy of living. His motivation was to heal his heart and find a new
meaning to his existence.
Development
One spring morning, Tomás entered the forest with his notebook and a backpack full
of provisions. The air was filled with the fresh scent of damp earth and the singing of birds
echoed through the trees. As he walked, his eyes scanned every corner in search of the
legendary plant. Suddenly, he heard a soft whisper, as if the forest itself was speaking to him.
Intrigued, he followed the sound until he reached a clearing where he found Clara sitting on a
rock, writing in her notebook.
Clara looked up and smiled at Tomás. They had met in the village several times, but
had never spoken. Tomás, curious to know what she was writing, approached her and asked
her. Clara explained that she was working on a novel about the forest and its mysteries.
Hearing this, Tomás told her about her search for the legendary plant. Clara, fascinated by the
story, decided to accompany him on his exploration, thinking it could be the inspiration he
needed for his book.
As they walked along together, they shared stories and dreams, creating an unexpected
bond. On their way, they met Javier, who was sitting by a stream, lost in thought. Clara, with
her empathetic nature, approached him and asked if he wanted to join her adventure. Javier,
surprised by the invitation, accepted, feeling that perhaps this meeting could be the change he
needed.
End
The three continued on their way, going deeper into the forest. As they went along, the
landscape became denser and more mysterious. The trees stood like silent giants, and sunlight
filtered through the leaves, creating patterns of shadows on the ground. The air was charged
with a palpable energy as if the forest was alive and watching them as they journeyed.
