EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
1.0 INTRODUCTION
M/s. Jyoti Resins & Adhesives Ltd. was incorporated in 1993 to manufacture Adhesive, Soya
Rosinated 50%, Unsaturated Polyester Resin, Enamel, Primer, Pigment paste. But later it was
decided to discontinue the products except focusing on Synthetic Resin & adhesives.
M/s. Jyoti Resins & Adhesives Ltd. has obtained the Environmental Clearance for Synthetic
Resin Adhesive (PVAA) (600 MT/month to 1500 MT/month) in existing unit located at S. no.
873, opp. Annand Health Care, Ranchhodpura Road, Village: Santej, Taluka: Kalol, District:
Gandhinagar, Gujarat from Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change (MoEF&CC)
vide EC order no. J-11011/429/2017-IA-II(I) dated 14-07-2020 (Annexure 1.1). Now, Jyoti
Resins & Adhesives Ltd., existing unit is proposing to expand manufacturing facility for
Synthetic Resin Adhesive (PVAA) (1,500 MT/month to 5,000 MT/month) in existing unit
located at S. no. 873, opp. Anand Health Care, Ranchhodpura Road, Village: Santej, Taluka:
Kalol, District: Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India.

• The unit has existing Thermic Fluid Heater and proposed the Thermic Fluid Heater. It
will be consuming wood as a fuel. The unit is proposing Multi cyclone separator as an
APCM for proposed Thermic Fluid Heater.
• All vessels, pumps and reactors which have potential to generate odour will be fitted
with mechanical seals to prevent leakage and therefore there will not any odour
problem.
• As a long-term measure to improve the environment, plantation of trees within
factory premises as well as along the nearby roads is proposed.

preparation of EIA studies in a study area of 10 km radial distance from the project site.
Ambient Air Quality Monitoring (AAQM), Noise level monitoring, ground water monitoring
and Soil monitoring was carried out during the study period.
In general, impacts have been identified on describing the project activities. The term
“environmental impact” is used broadly to include attributes like air, water, soil, land,
ecological & biodiversity, social, and economic impacts that may result from any of the
activities associated with development of the project.
