    Automatic English Essay Scoring Algorithm Based on Machine Learning

    Description:
    Developed a system for automatic English essay scoring using Natural Language Processing
    (NLP) and machine learning techniques. The project aimed to reduce teachers' grading workload
    by automating essay scoring while providing targeted feedback to help improve students' writing
    skills. It incorporated models like Random Forest (RF), GBDT, and XGBoost to predict essay
    fluency, vocabulary richness, sentence structure complexity, and overall content relevance.

    Key Contributions:

     Designed and developed four functional modules: User Login, Evaluation, Statistics, and
    Error Correction.
     Validated the effectiveness of RF in predicting essay scores based on the ASAP essay
    dataset and other sources.
     Improved accuracy in scoring by utilizing advanced NLP techniques, providing a more
    efficient and fair grading process.
