INSTRUCTIONS

1. This paper consists of three (3) questions.

2. Answer any two (2) questions.

3. Submit printed hardcopy together with the softcopy of your work.

4. Save your work on the desktop in the folder named your examination number.

5. Save your work by using the 2007 above version of the MS Office software you are using.

6. Cellular phones and any other unauthorized materials are not allowed in the examination room.

7. Write your examination number on every page of your printed hardcopy.

1. (a) Type the document below using Microsoft word program and save it as BUNU then
perform the formatting as directed below; (2 marks)

BULLETS AND NUMBERS


Bullets and numbers are used to arrange whole or part of word documents in a desired
sequence. The paragraphs are proceeded by bullet or number, Bullets are numbers are of
different kinds and styles, When are used they make word document more attractive and easier
to read especially when the preference is to present step by step instruction.

(i) The title of the document should be in header from. (1 mark)


(ii) Justify the above typed document. (1 mark)
(iii) The line space should be 1.5 (1 mark)
(iv) Use the word “Form Four Mock to create a water mark in diagonal style and size
should be “66”. (1 mark)
(v) Print the document created. (1 mark)

(b) Create an excel sheet shown below and format exactly the same as it appear. (3 marks)

(i) Write the formula for to insert the automatic number in column A. (1 mark)
(ii) Calculate the total marks for each student. (2 marks)
(iii) Calculate the total marks for all subjects. (2 marks)
(iv) Calculate the average for all subjects. (2 marks)
(v) All column width should be 7. (1 mark)
(vi) Wrap the word average in column B12 (2 marks)
(vii) Calculate the grade for each student, use the following grade range; (4 marks)
81-100=A, 61-80=B, 41-60=C, 21-40=D and 0-20=F.

(viii) Find the maximum score for each student. (1 mark)
(ix) Find the minimum score for each student. (1 mark)
(x) Find the position of each student. (2 marks)
(xi) Save your file on a folder created on a desktop as excel work. (1 mark)
(xii) Print your work. (1 mark)

2. (a) Use the HTML codes to design the web page of PowerPoint presentation as it appear here
below;
(4 marks)

Descriptions of the web page

(i) Background color should be “olive green”. (1 mark)


(ii) Heading should be in marquee, font size 20 and font color is red. (3 marks)
(iii) Use h3 to write heading. ( 1 mark)
(iv) Table border should be “5”. (1 mark)
(v) Save your web as “Mock”. (1 mark)
(vi) Print your work. (1 mark)

(b) Malaria is one of the major killer diseases in Africa. As an informed person, you are
required to design a slide show on Malaria as one of the outbreak diseases. You are required
to create five (5) content slides with the following descriptions;

(i) Slide one should elaborate on the causes and spread of Malaria. (2 marks)
(ii) Slide two should focus on any two symptoms of Malaria. (2 marks)

(iii)Slide three should include treatment of Malaria. (2 marks)
(iv) Slide four should include prevention of Malaria. (2 marks)
(v) In slide five insert title for the presentation, with link to all the above four slides. Use
back, next and home action buttons to link one slide to another. (2 marks)
(vi) Print the titled slide, slide one, slide three and four together as a handout scaled to A4
paper size. (2 marks)
(vii) Save your presentation in slide show format as Malaria slide show. (1 mark).
General guidelines:
 Insert your examination number as a footer for all slides.
 All slides should have the same design view

3. (a) The birthday table gives information about the family and friends BL groups. Use the
information of a table to perform the given tasks.

(i) Design a suitable database to manage information presented in the table, name it as
“MASELE”. (1 mark)
(ii) Create a table above and name it as “NGOLO”. (4 marks)
 Note that the field size for the fields first name and surname should be 12
 Use lookup wizard to insert gender
(iii) Indicate the primary key for the table created. (1 mark)

(iv) Create a query called “AUDIFAX” from a table with the field name named first name,
surname, gender and birthday showing birthday of friend who born between
25/11/1988 and 29/12/1990. (2 marks)
(v) Create a query called “NYANSWE” from birthday table with the first name, surname,
gender, city and F.No. (2 marks)
(vi) Create a form called “BULUGU” from a birthday table with the first name, surname,
city, gender and hobby. (1 mark)
(vii) People who are needed to join in adult group are those who are above 27 years. Create
a query to filter people who have above that age and save it as “FIMBO”.
(2 marks)
(viii) Create a report called “EDWARD” including fields like First name, Surname, gender
and clothes size. (1 mark)
(ix) Print the “NGOLO” table contents. (1 mark)

(b) Design a two months calendar as it appears below. Use any picture you have
