A nurse's job in the healthcare industry involves a lot of duties and obligations, all of
which call for the use of judgment in handling potential crisis situations. In order to give the
patient the safest care possible, the nurse should work with other members of the healthcare team
to set goals and prioritize treatment. Before providing appropriate treatment, nurses frequently
need to be conscious of their own personal views and values. A nurse may take on a role at a
facility as a unit manager or a nurse may use a particular leadership style to guide her team. Me
on the other hand I’ve always been quite shy of being the leader. This is because I feel like I am
to nice and feel like I’m not the type to boss others around.
Therefore, steps I would like to take is communicate with the management, adhere to
hospital policies and procedures, and stay in touch. I want to become a more visionary leader and
