RE: International Coastal Cleanup Day

Sir:

The International Coastal Cleanup (ICC) Day- an annual convergence of


volunteers on behalf of ocean and waterway health, is set on September 17,
2022. The ICC Day has been institutionalized by Presidential Proclamation No.
470 dated September 15, 2003. The ICC Day is a global event that unites
countries and people with one common goal: to show concern on the growing
marine debris problem by removing trash/debris along shorelines, rivers, lakes,
waterways and gathering data on the kind and volume of trash collected.

As such, LAYAG Bagac would like to seek collaboration with the Local
Government Unit of Bagac in holding a localized celebration of ICC Day on
September 17 at Pag-Asa, Bagac, Bataan with simultaneous activities among the
coastal barangays of Paysawan, Binuangan, and Quinawan.

Attached herewith is the proposed program and schedule of activities as


well as the expectations we set from your part.

May you be one of us in making Bagac a sustainable and progressive town


not just for us but to the next generations to come.
