Nature of the Company / Flow of the Business

Introduction and Brief History

Kadiliman Esports Café is a prominent internet café chain in the

Philippines with multiple locations, including branches in Taguig, Biñan,
Marikina, and Las Piñas. Founded to meet the demand for high-quality
gaming and browsing spaces, Kadiliman has grown to serve both casual
internet users and dedicated gamers alike. With a mission to foster a
community-centered gaming environment, Kadiliman supports both
recreational gaming and competitive esports activities. They offer fast,
reliable internet through PLDT, with speeds ranging from 500 Mbps to 1
Gbps, and use a star topology network design to centralize their LAN
server for seamless operations.
As part of its community-focused approach, Kadiliman frequently hosts
esports events, including official collaborations with Riot Games
Philippines. Recently, Kadiliman was selected as a VALORANT Community
Hub for the VALORANT Champions 2024 series, allowing it to host viewing
events and tournaments to engage local gaming enthusiasts

Flow of the Business

Kadiliman’s core services focus on providing internet access, gaming

facilities, and event-hosting spaces. The café’s infrastructure supports high-
speed connectivity for multiple users, with gaming stations arranged for
optimal comfort and efficiency. To manage access, they utilize Pondo Billing
software, which regulates customer logins and usage time. Additionally,
Kadiliman employs robust security measures, such as firewalls and
antivirus systems, and segregates the customer network from the staff
network for enhanced security. Their business model combines regular
internet café operations with event-driven services, making Kadiliman a key
player in the local esports community.

50pesos for 3 hours, 24/7 open, they have 75pc’s and lets say it all occupied So, to calculate the daily income we
need to divide 24/3= 8x50= 400 x75= 30,000 And for yearly income Daily Income = ₱30,000 lets multiply it by
365days 30,000×365=10,950,000.

Monthly cost | internet 3,000, technicians fee 15,000 | 3,000+15,000= 18,000 x 12=216,000 per year | electric bills
258,200 per month | 258,200x12= 3,098,400

Total spend cost in the 1rst year of business

3,098,400+ 5,755,900=8,854,300

Total income in that year | 10,950,000 – 8,854,300= 2,095,700 other expenses not included

XIV. Conclusion and Recommendations

Conclusion:
The existing network infrastructure of Kadiliman Esports Café is well-designed to meet
the current demands of its gaming-focused operations. The star topology provides
centralized management and fault tolerance, while the hardware and software support
efficient daily operations. However, there are areas for improvement in network
performance, scalability, and security to support the café’s long-term goals, including
hosting larger esports events and expanding its customer base.
Recommendations:
1. Upgrade Network Security:
o Implement a Next-Generation Firewall (NGFW) with Intrusion Prevention
Systems (IPS) to enhance security against emerging threats.
o Introduce network segmentation through VLANs to separate customer and
staff traffic for improved data protection.
