Difference Between Input and Output Devices

Input and output devices are essential parts of a computer system, and they help us
communicate with the computer. Below is a detailed explanation of both types of devices
and their differences:

Input Devices
Input devices are used to send data or instructions to the computer. They allow users to
interact with the system by providing commands, text, or other forms of data. Common
input devices include:

- Keyboard: Used for typing and entering text or commands.

- Mouse: Helps in pointing, clicking, and selecting items on the screen.

- Scanner: Converts physical documents into digital format.

- Microphone: Captures audio and converts it into digital signals.

Output Devices
Output devices display or present the results of the computer's processing to the user.
These devices allow users to see, hear, or experience the outcome of their inputs. Common
output devices include:

- Monitor: Displays text, images, and videos on the screen.

- Printer: Produces a physical copy of documents or images.
