1 2 3 … 15 Great! We are complete. Thank for your cooperation.
Before we proceed with our day tour, I’d like to take a minute to tell friendly reminders
and safety precautions so that our tour will be smooth flowing and hustle free.
Please keep your seatbelts fastened at all times and remain seated until we reach our
destination.
First things first, as a safety precaution, I would like to remind you to please keep a
meter distance to practice social distancing, wear your mask and face shield at all
times, and don’t forget to sanitize every after visit of each destination.
Second, please take care of your valuable things and do not leave your things
unattended.
Third, may I request everyone to sync your time with me so that no one will be left
behind; in my time it’s exactly 7:30am.
Fourth, I want you to familiarize my signals, if I whistle once and wave this blue flag it
means we only have 5 minutes left to roam around, and if I whistle twice and wave this
red flag you need to go back immediately to the bus and be prepare because we are on
to our next destination.
And now in case you are not feeling well and you have any medical concerns do not
hesitate to call my attention. I have here first aid kit.
Lastly don’t forget to smile and remember take nothing but pictures, leave nothing but
footprints, and kill nothing but time.
While we are waiting on our first destination let me tell you a brief description about the
Province of Cavite
It is the most densely populated province in the Philippines. Being near to Metro Manila,
its northern areas have become characterized by sprawling residential communities,
For our first destination welcome to one of the most iconic and historic landmark in the
Philippines Emilio Aguinaldo Shrine. This Shrine is the ancestral mansion of the first
president of the Philippines, General Emilio F. Aguinaldo. Did you know that this place is
known as the House of history, this is where Philippine independence was declared by
President Aguinaldo on June 12, 1898.
At the entrance of the house, you can notice the bowling alley which signifies that
Aguinaldos lived an elegant lifestyle. This house was first built in 1845 with nipa and
thatch and reconstructed in 1849 with limestone and hardwood. Renovations started
when it was handed over to the government. In 1919, the symbolic balcony was
constructed. This is where the Philippine President is seen waving the flag. Also every
year Philippine flag is being raised here as a sign of recognizing the country's first taste
of freedom. This house was made a National Shrine by the government after
Aguinaldo's death in 1964.
Freedom Park
1998 marked the centennial celebration of the Philippine Independence. As part of the
celebration, the Aguinaldo Park or Freedom Park was built to expand the mansion's
complex and to extend the longevity. Up to this day, the park includes the actual
mansion (which houses the Aguinaldo Museum), the bronze statue of Aguinaldo in front
and the garden at the back where Aguinaldo's tomb is located.
Tourists it is now your time to roam around and enjoy the Emilio Aguinaldo Shrine.
(Whistle 2x)
This Cathedral started as a small chapel in Kawit. However, the Augustinian recollects
petitioned the Spanish government to convert Imus into an independent municipality. In
November 2006, the National Historical Institute declared Imus Cathedral as a structure
of historical significance.
The Hispanic architecture of the church has been beautifully preserved until now. Apart
from the bricks and stones on the walls, you can also find Latin inscriptions on its
arches. The pattern of the facades somewhat resembles the Manila Cathedral in
Intramuros.
Imus Cathedral is a notable landmark for pilgrims not just from Cavite, but also from
different provinces.
Tourists as a sign of respect since we are visiting a church I kindly ask all of you to
please observe silence. Also I cannot whistle to give you my signal but if you see me
waving this red flag it means we need to go back to the bus, you may now roam around
and send all your prayers.
Is everyone okay and happy? Okay let's do the headcount again 1 2 3 15 Perfect.
