Rules and Regulations
Rule:1stThe tournament will be played under the latest FIDE rules.
Prize
Rate of Play: 90 minutes each, plus 30 seconds increment per move from move one.
AICF player Registration: AICF Player registration is compulsory for all players.
AICF Player Registration fee is Rs.300/- for the year 2024-2025. As per latest AICF regulations all
AICF registrations will be accepted only through online. Players/Arbiters registration should be done
well before the start of the Tournament. For renewing AICF Registration of existing players

For fresh AICF Registration please click http://aicf.in/online-player-registration/
For fresh AICF registration, players are requested to keep their scanned passport size photograph
and birth certificate and a valid email address (unique) not used by any other person/player for AICF,
ready before the registration process.
Note: Only passport size (less than 1MB) photograph in jpeg format should be uploaded
TNSCA Player Registration: TNSCA player registration is compulsory for all Tamil Nadu players.
TNSCA Player Registration fee is Rs.150/- for the year 2024-2025. Players / Arbiters registration
should be done well before the start of event (Tournament). New entrants to the field of chess are
informed that TNSCA player’s registration is mandatory and it should be done well before participating
in any tournament. For renewing TNSCA player registration of existing players,

For fresh TNSCA registration, players are requested to keep their scanned passport size photograph

Chengalpattu Player Registration: Registration fee is Rs.75/- for the year 2024 – 2025.

Tie-break: Latest AICF tie-break rules will be applied. In case of tie Prize money will not be shared
Protests: Protests, if any, against the decision of the Chief Arbiter shall be made in writing with
a protest fee of Rs. 1000/- within 15 minutes of the occurrence of the incident to the appeals
committee. The protest fee will be refunded if the appeal is upheld.
Appeals Committee: An Appeals Committee comprising of five members will be formed at the
players meeting.
The decision of the appeals committee is final and binding on all players concerned.
Withdrawals: A player may withdraw at any stage of the event, after informing the Chief Arbiter
in writing.

Zion & Alwin Group of Schools - Chess


Zion Matriculation Higher Secondary School is one of the oldest schools in Tamilnadu. Due to its
high quality of education, the strength of the school arose to a greater height now the strength
is more than 25,000 students. All 6 schools of Zion & Alwin group are situated in and
around Tambaram.

The founder of the school is Dr. N. Vijayan, an Ex-Air force officer who is also a national best
teacher awardee, awarded by the then President of India, Late Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam. He is a great
visionary and with the help of team of more than 1200 dedicated teachers, he could provide the
best possible education to each child at affordable fees.

The Zion & Alwin group of school aims at wholesome and holistic education, hence, equal
importance is also given to co-curricular and extracurricular activities, more importantly adequate
training given for the children practising chess.

Chess is an integral part of school curriculum. Like any other subject, it also has regular period on
day-to-Day basis and children are helped to improve their skills in chess which in turn help the
children to enhance their analytical skills, reasoning skills, particularly the students who play
chess as passion have high degree of concentration and better in academics.
