- In order to activate an indexed search across all files of the documentation set, select
“DAMM_index.pdx” in the advanced search menu of Adobe Acrobat (keyboard shortcut Shift-
Ctrl+F). You need to select “Show More Options” to do that or define the Acrobat preferences
accordingly.
- Alternatively you may also start "DAMM_index.pdx" from Windows File Explorer, which will directly
open the indexed search of Acrobat.
- Hardware installation
o These guides are typically intended for system design or people doing the mechanical and
electrical installations
o Document files are named “HW-…” and are stored in the directory
“…\Hardware_Installation\”
- Software installation
o These guides describe SW installation, initial configuration and upgrade of the system. They
are intended for people doing the installation, integration or maintenance of the system
o Document files are named “SW-…” and are stored in the directory
“…\Software_Installation\”
- Operating guides
o These configuration guides, operating guides and command reference manuals are typically
intended for people operating the network or end user equipment
o Document files are named “OP-…” and are stored in the directory
“…\Operation_Maintenance\”
- Application notes
o These are mostly step-by-step instructions for taking features into use, provide guidelines
for external equipment or describe alternative installation methods. They are typically
intended for system design and people operating or maintaining the network
o Document files are named “AN-…” and are stored in the directory “…\Application_Notes\”
- Reference documents
o These documents contain a system description, glossary and generic statements from
DAMM for example related to system availability or cyber security.
o Document files are named “REF-…” and are stored in the directory
“…\Reference_Documents\”
- Appendices
o These documents are mainly user guides and installation instructions from 3rd party
products. The chapter also includes the complete OM command set.
o Document files are stored in a sub-directory of the user guide where the document is
referring to, for example “…\Operation_Maintenance\OM_Help\” for the OM commands
