    ANNOUNCES ITS

    DOCTORAL AND MASTER’S SCHOLARSHIP SCHEMES FOR 2025

    A BOUT NBHM
    NBHM was set up in 1983 by the Government of India under the Department of Atomic Energy to
    foster the development of higher mathematics in the country. Among NBHM’s many initiatives are
    two scholarship schemes open respectively to students pursuing mathematics at the Master’s and
    Doctoral level.

    NBHM is happy to announce the 2025 edition of these Scholarship Schemes. The detailed advertise-

    S ELECTION P ROCESS : THE W RITTEN T EST SCHEDULED FOR 25 J ANUARY 2025


    The first phase in the selection process for either scholarship is a written test to be held in about fifty
    centres across the length and breadth of the country on
    Saturday 25 January 2025, 10:30 to 13:30 hrs (IST)
    The second phase is an online interview to be held sometime in March 2025 for candidates shortlisted
    on the basis of the test scores.

    Applications are being accepted, exclusively online, at the Application Portal (whose link can be
    found on the web page linked above). The deadline for applications is 22nd December 2024; ap-
    plications submitted on or before 15th December 2024 get an early bird incentive discount on the
    application fee.

    The written test scores are also used for screening applicants to the PhD / Integrated PhD / Master’s
    programmes at these institutions: HRI (Prayagraj), IMSc (Chennai), IISER Berhampur, IISER
    Bhopal, IISER Mohali, IISER Pune, IISER Thiruvananthapuram, KSoM (Kozhikode), Krea
    University (Sri City, AP), NISER (Bhubaneswar). Those interested in these programmes are advised
    to source the details directly from the institutions in question.
