Tatva 2k24 Rules and Regulations

DanceFever: Group Dance


Solo Dance Competition

Participants in the Solo Dance category will have the opportunity to mesmerize the audience with their
chosen dance form, whether classical or western.

Registration Fees: Rs. 100/-

Rules and Regulations: Themes:

a. For the Classical category, participants may choose any Indian classical dance form, such as Kathak,
Bharatnatyam, Odissi, Manipuri, Mohiniyattam, Kuchipudi, or Sattriya.
b. For the Western category, participants can explore genres like Ballet, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Contemporary, or
Salsa.

Performance Time:
● Each participant will be allotted 4 minutes to perform.
Judgment Criteria:
● Performances will be evaluated based on Taal (Timing), Technique, Rhythm, Abhinaya
(Expression), Attire, Footwork, and Overall Presentation.
Additional Notes:
● Use of props is optional but encouraged to enhance storytelling.
● Participants must ensure their attire aligns with the chosen dance style.
● This category celebrates individuality and technical excellence, offering dancers a platform to
shine solo under the spotlight.
General Guidelines:

● Music tracks must be submitted in advance to the event coordinators.

Group Dance Choreography

Group performances bring energy and creativity to the stage. Participants can explore either Classical or
Western/Bollywood choreography styles in this competition.

Rules and Regulations:

Team Composition and Time Limit:

● Each group must consist of a maximum of 10 participants.


● Performances should not exceed 10 minutes.

Judgment Criteria:

● Teams will be judged on Creativity, Technique, Rhythm, Expression, Attire, Footwork, and
Overall Presentation.

Additional Notes:

● Props are allowed and can be used innovatively to enhance performances.


● Choreography should be cohesive and reflect teamwork and coordination.
● This category emphasizes collaboration and creative choreography, promising a visual treat for all
attendees.

Battle of Bands: Rules and Regulations
Registration Fees: Rs. 1000/-

Performance Duration:

● Each team will have 10 to 15 minutes to perform. Exceeding the time limit may result in
penalties.

Team Size:

● Each band must have a maximum of 8 participants.

Instruments:

● All bands must bring their own instruments. The university will not provide any instruments or
equipment.

Eligibility:

● All participants must be currently enrolled students of a recognized institution.


● A valid college ID card must be presented at the registration desk before the performance.

Registration:

● All band members must individually register for the competition.


● Registration details must be completed prior to the event.

Judging:

● The decision of the judges will be final and binding.


● No appeals or objections will be entertained.

● Each participant will have 3 to 4 minutes to perform.

Themes:

● Participants may choose between Classical (e.g., Hindustani or Carnatic music) or Western (e.g., Pop,
Jazz, Opera, or Contemporary) styles for their performance.

Instruments:

● Participants are required to bring their own instruments if needed. The university will not provide any
instruments.

Karaoke Submission:

● If karaoke is required, participants must submit their tracks in advance to the organizing team through the
designated Google Form (to be shared later).

Identification:

● All participants must carry a valid college ID card for verification.

Judgment Criteria:

● Performances will be evaluated based on Melody, Rhythm, Technique, Expression, Voice Quality, and
Overall Impact.

Final Decision:

● The decisions made by the judges will be final and binding. No appeals or disputes will be entertained.

Themes:

● Drama :- Thriller / Suspense


● Skit :- Comedy

Registration Fees: Rs. 1000/-

Team Size:

● Minimum 6 and maximum 12 participants.

Performance Time Limit:

● Time limit for performance: 8-15 minutes.


● First warning bell at 12 minutes, final bell at 15 minutes. Exceeding the time limit will result in
negative marking.

Props:

● Teams must bring and manage their own props.


● All props must be removed after the performance.
● No props or materials will be provided by the host college.

Judging:

● The judges decisions are final and binding. No objections or appeals will be entertained.

Prohibited Items:

● Use of fluids, live animals, flames, heavy objects, or materials that may damage the venue is
strictly prohibited. Violators will be disqualified.

Rehearsals:

● No time will be allotted for rehearsal, stage practice, or final preparation during the event.

Reporting:

● Video Format: Must not exceed three minutes in length.

Original Content:

● All elements, including visuals, audio, and script, must be original.


● Plagiarized content will result in immediate disqualification.

Submission Deadline:

Time Limit: 2 hours

Rules & Regulations:

● Denim fabric may include Jackets, Jeans, Caps, Purse, etc.


● Participants must bring their own materials (denim fabric, paints, brushes, etc.). No equipment,
colors, or denim will be provided by the university.
● Judgment will be based on technique, creativity, and thematic execution.
● Any use of inappropriate or offensive content will result in disqualification.

2. Face Painting - Registration Fees: Rs. 100/-

Time Limit: 1 hour

Rules & Regulations:

● Participnts must bring their own model.


● Participants must bring their own materials (paints, brushes, etc.). No equipment will be provided
by the university.
● Judgment will be based on skill, creativity, and thematic resonance.
● Any offensive designs or content will lead to disqualification.

3. Sneaker Customization - Registration Fees: Rs. 100/-

Time Limit: 2 hours

Rules & Regulations:

● Participants must bring their own sneakers and painting materials (paints, brushes, etc.). No
sneakers, paints, or brushes will be provided by the university.
● Judgment will be based on technique, creativity, and how well the theme is integrated into the
design.
● Any inappropriate or offensive designs will lead to immediate disqualification.

4. Floor Painting - Registration Fees: Rs. 300/-
