MEMORANDUM

With reference to his/her application for recruitment to the post of Inspector of

Income Tax and Tax Assistant in CBDT on the basis of Combined Graduate Level
Examination 2022 conducted by Staff ScIection Commission(SSC), the candidates sclectt'd as
Inspector of Income Tax and Tax Assistant in CSDT vide SSC file No. J-IQ-
C11018/17/2023-C1/1 (E-4024) dated 13.05.2023 arc di.rected to indicate/exercise his/her
preferences, in order of priority for allotmen t of 18 regions under Income Tax Department
(CBDT) all over the counh'Y on or before 06.07.2023 (23:00 hours}.

2. The candidates arc directed to access an online portal through the link
http://65.2.118 .1?5/ for submission of their preferences for allocation of region. The por tal
is to be accessed by the candidate using Roll No. of sse,

email idprovidedtoSSCanddateofbirth. An OTP will be sent to the registered mobile
number of the candidate for the purpose of login.

2.1 In case the candidate is not able to access the portal due to change in mobi le number,
the following instructions arc to be follow ed:

2.2 On receipt of the email for change in mobile number, the details su bmilted by U1e
candidate will be verified from the informa tion available in the dossier, and if found correct,
the candida te will be informed after the details arc upda ted for accessing the portal. It may
be noted that request in this regard will be entertained ONLY if the ema il is received at least
4 days before the due da te of submission of preferences through online module (i.e.
02.07.2023) . The request has to b e made Lhrough email on the designated email id
(recruitmentcell.hrd@incomctax.gov.in) and no requ est received from any other means
(hand delivery, speed post, courier, SMS etc. ) will be considered by this Directorate.

3. On successful login, a page containing Terms & Conditions will ap pear and Lhe
Region Preferen ce Form will be accessed only after the candidate accepts these Terms &
Conditions. After the candidate h as finally submitted the preferen ce form, the candida te is
further required to take a print of the submitted form and paste his/ her latest p assport-size
photograph on the printed form duly sign with Left Thumb Impression (as required), and
submit a scanned copy of this form alon g w ith a copy of Aa dha r Card to this Directorate lm
the email id recruitmentcelLhrd@incometax.gov.in on or before on or before 06.07.2023

4. The submission of the preference form will be accepted only when the scanned co py
of submitted form, complete in all resp ect along w ith a cop y of Aadhar Card is sent to this
Directorate on the email on or bcfOJ'e on or before 06.07.2023 (23:00 hours) . In ca,;e, the
candidate fails to send the submitted prefe rences on email by the du e da te, the prcfen~ nces
indica ted in on-line proform a w ill not be considered for the purpose of alloca tion of region.
It may be n oted by the candidates that sub mission of preference form throu gh email is
subject to further scruti ny and the submission is liable to be rejected in case the form is
found incomplete in any manne r, for e.g. Passport size pho to missing, Left Thum b
Impression not placed , form is withou t signature etc.

5. Candid ates are cauti oned that if, fo r a ny reasons, he/ she fails or docs no t indica te
his/ her preferences throu gh the online portal for wha tever reaso ns by on or before
