Course Title: Understanding and Managing Behavior

Age Group: Young Children (4-7 years old)


Duration: 12 weeks (1 session per week, 45-60 minutes per session)
Goals:

Week 1: Introduction to Emotions


 Objective: Identify basic emotions and their physical cues.
 Activities:

 Materials: Emotion flashcards, mirror, emotion-themed storybook.
Week 2: Understanding My Feelings

o Drawing feelings: Drawing a picture that represents how they feel today.
o Role-playing: Acting out different scenarios that trigger various emotions.

 Objective: Learn strategies to manage strong emotions like anger or frustration.
 Activities:
o Calm-down kit: Introducing tools like stress balls, sensory bottles, and breathing

o Breathing exercises: Practicing deep breaths using visual cues (e.g., breathing in
while raising a toy up, and out while lowering it).
o "When I Feel Angry" story: Discussing what to do when feeling upset.
 Materials: Calm-down kit, sensory toys, breathing exercise visuals.
Week 4: Understanding Rules and Routines
 Objective: Recognize the importance of rules and routines.
 Activities:
o Class rules poster: Creating a visual chart of classroom rules.
o Routine practice: Going through daily routines like lining up, washing hands,
and sitting quietly.
o Reward system: Introducing a simple rewards chart for following rules.

shoes.

Week 11: Reinforcing Positive Behavior
 Objective: Focus on recognizing and reinforcing positive behaviors.
 Activities:

tokens for positive behavior.
o Praise practice: Practicing giving and receiving praise.
o Reflection time: Discussing the positive behaviors observed during the week.

Week 12: Celebrating Success
 Objective: Celebrate the progress and achievements made during the course.
 Activities:
