Activity: Cabbage Quiz (speaking)
Direction.
One student starts by picking a "circle shape" and
tossing it to another student in the circle or class.
The student who catches the "circle shape" choose a
number, reads the question aloud, and attempts to
answer it.
If the student answers correctly, they keep the
question paper as a point. If unsure, the class can
discuss and guide the answer together.

Literature is the body of written works that are
considered to be of artistic or intellectual value. It
encompasses a wide range of genres, including
novels, poems, plays, essays, and short stories.

The class will be divided into 3 groups. Each group
will discuss the letters. Each group will write their
answer on a bond paper. 1 minute to answer.
Once all groups have their answers ready, reveal the
correct word.
Groups will have 30 seconds to discuss and write
their answer.

The class will be divided into 4 groups. Each group
will be given a Symbol Card and context card.
Each group will do a brief explanation of what the
symbol represents in its respective culture, will
present their work. And each group will given 3
minutes to finish the task.
Example:

Context Card: "Represents purity and enlightenment
in Southeast Asian cultures."

many Southeast Asian cultures."

Directions:
Research a short Southeast Asian literary piece from a country of your choice ( a folktale, poem, or short
story). Answer the following:
What is the title of the piece, and which country is it from?
Summarize the literary piece.
Identify and explain one cultural value or tradition reflected in the story.
Compare it with a similar or different tradition in your culture.
Write your responses in a short paragraph, be prepared to share your findings in the next class and send to our
google classroom for your outputs.
