Introduction
This is the user's manual of the MECALUX Automation Dashboard application.

This application is used to consult and manage the information related to the
failures of the machines in the warehouse when the Transport Management
System (TMS) has been developed by MECALUX. It provides complete
traceability of the status and problems of the machines in automatic
warehouses.

Automation Dashboard user manual is complemented with the user manual of

Mecalux Application Platform (MAP).

MAP is the platform of applications of MECALUX. Automation Dashboard is one of

them. In MAP manual common aspects to all applications will be addressed,
such as the technological requisites to be able to use them and the procedure of
user validation, and also the interface is described, with all its elements and
main functionalities.

Common action buttons in MAP applications, such as audit, print list, export list,
etc. are also described in that user manual.

Chapter 1 Faults
This menu entry gathers the following screens:

• Faults.

• Faults definition

• Machines.

• Zones.

• Availability.

3
1.1 Faults
From the "Faults" screen of the web interface, it obtains global and filtered
information, by means of reports, of the active and past faults (data history) in
the machines of the warehouse.

In order for the information shown to include past failures, select the
"Historical" field in the upper left corner of the list of records.

The way to access this screen is by clicking on "Faults > Faults" in the
navigation menu.

1.1.1 Specific actions of the Faults menu

The different actions that you can perform from this screen using the buttons in
the options bar are described below.

With the "Historical" field selected, the following actions are available:

1.1.1.1 Do not affect availability

This functionality is to set that a fault will not affect the availability of the

warehouse. To activate it, select the fault in the list and press the button.

1.1.1.2 Affect availability

This functionality is to set that a fault will affect the availability of the

warehouse. To activate it, select the fault in the list and press the button.

4
1.2 Faults definition
The "Faults definition" screen displays all possible faults in the machines in
the warehouse. You can view the reason for the fault ("Description" field) and
the solution ("Suggestion" field).

The way to access this screen is by clicking on "Faults > Faults definition" in
the navigation menu.

7
1.3 Machines
On the "Machines" screen you create a record of the machines in your
warehouse.

You can register the machines manually from this screen. However, the machine
list is also created automatically when a fault is reported from the transport
management system.

The way to access this screen is by clicking on "Faults > Machines" in the
navigation menu.

1.3.1 Data
Both creating and editing machines are done by pressing the corresponding
action buttons on the action bar. Note that to edit and delete a machine you
have to select it previously from the available records in the list. In both cases,
Automation Dashboard shows the data editing screen.

1.3.1.1 Compulsory fields

• Name: code that identifies the machine.

• Weight: importance, expressed as a percentage, that the machine has

over the operational whole of the warehouse.
This value must be customized for each machine in each installation. To
define it, ask yourself how much a machine's fault affects the
warehouse’s global working.

1.3.1.2 Optional fields

• Zones: functional zone to which the machine is assigned. You must

define:
• Zone: select an existing zone.
• Weight: importance, expressed as a percentage, that the machine
has in the selected zone as a whole.

Chapter 3 WCS

15
3.1 Transports (Archive)
From this screen you can access the information of the tasks executed by the
machines in your warehouse when they are controlled by a Transport Magement
System (TMS) developed by MECALUX, but the execution of tasks is not
managed by Easy WMS, but by an external Warehouse Management System
(WMS).

In this case, MECALUX's Easy WCS application translates the orders between the
TMS and the WMS through the exchange of records in tables of a common
database (MySQL, SQL Server or Oracle).

The information automatically recorded by Easy WCS in these tables according

to the tasks executed is shown in this screen of the interface.

The way to access this screen is by clicking on “WCS> Transports (Archive)”

in the navigation menu.
