Subject: Letter of explanation for study permit
Dear Sir/Madam,
My name is Brylle Roswell Manumbali Chavez and I am 18 years of age. I am a Macao Permanent
Resident but a Filipino Citizen. I’ve recently graduated high school in Premier School Affiliated to Hou
Kong Middle School, Macao on 13th of June,2020 and I am planning to further my education abroad
which I chose Canada where I am going to study at Langara College, and my program will be
Associate of Science Degree in Health Sciences.
I chose this country Canada mainly because it is known for having a high standard of education and I
believe that it will provide me more opportunities for my career in the future whether here in Macao
or my home country Philippines, or internationally. Furthermore, the cultural diversity is also what
attracts me about Canada. I’ve always enjoyed learning and exploring different places, and I wanted
to be exposed to different cultures and be able to study where multiculturism is embraced because
it is a chance for me to broaden my horizon, and I can benefit from this aspect as well since I know
that I will be meeting or working with different people with different background in the healthcare
field.
My future plan is to transfer to a university after my associate degree to finish the bachelor of health
science program. The reason why I chose this school and this program is because it is more
affordable to start off in a community college while the health science program in this school is
pretty well-known. Therefore, I believe that I will be able to learn a lot of useful knowledge as well as
improve my capabilities. As to why I chose this major is because I want to work in healthcare
administration in Macao, based on my observations, I think that there are room for improvement
when it comes to the healthcare in Macao, so that’s why I want to have international exposure and
utilize the knowledge that I will gain in your respective country in order to create a better healthcare
in our country. It offers an interdisciplinary examination of health, illness, and disease in human
communities, it also draws from other research-oriented fields such as psychology and economics,
and I will be able to work on some skills such as analytical skills, interpersonal skills or problem-
solving skills.
My parents will be providing the financial support throughout my study here in Canada. My father
Neil Tabang Chavez is currently employed at Venetian Macao as casino gaming dealer since 2004 up
to present alongside with my mother Elaine Manumbali Chavez currently employed at Farmacia
Luen Tai as licensed pharmacist since 2013 up to present. As I understand, this program will require
a lot of hard work and dedication, but I am willing to do my best and step out of my comfort zone in
order to achieve my goals. I am hoping that the given information will be sufficient to the
requirements of the Canada study permit. It would be an honor to be able to study in Canada and it
is my responsibility to finish my course and comply with the study permit regulations.
Thank you for the time you have taken to review my application.
Sincerely yours,
Brylle Roswell Manumbali Chavez
