 Whole Numbers (Zero-Ten Thousand):
 Ordinal Numbers (1st to 20th)
 Forward & backward counting
 Before, After & Between
 Recognition of numbers through blocks and discs
 Reading and drawing of beads in an abacus
 Place and value chart
 Writing expanded form of a number and guessing number from a given 
expanded form
 Writing given number in words and figures (Numeral & Number Name)
 Greatest and smallest whole numbers (1-digit, 2-digit, 3-digit, 4-digit, 5-digit)
 Formation of greatest and smallest 3 or 4-digit whole number.
 Comparison of 2 numbers
 Ordering of 4 or 5 numbers
 Count forward and write in 2s,3s,4s,5s,6s, 7s,10s and 100s
 Even and Odd numbers

 Fractions:

 Concept of equal & unequal parts
 Concept of Halves to Twentieths 
 Parts of a fraction (Numerator & Denominator)
 Writing fraction of a shaded figure
 Naming a fraction (fraction name)
 Shading a figure according to given fraction
 When does a fraction become whole?
 Unit fraction
 Types of fraction (proper, Improper)
 Like and unlike fractions
 Comparison and Ordering of like fractions
 Estimation:
 Round off to nearest 10
 Estimate the sum and difference to nearest 10
 Roman Numbers:
 Roman numbers (I – X)

 Computation and Problem solving strategies:


 Addition
 Addition of numbers (Single, Double & Triple Carry)

 Data Handling:

 Times table of 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 & 7 (up to 12 multiples) are also included.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
All the work done on notebook, book and virtual classes is included in the syllabus of
first semester exams.
