1)The New Okhla Development Authority is implementing a Comprehensive Regional Transport Plan
to improve connectivity between Noida, YEIDA, Greater Noida, and surrounding areas, while
enhancing links to Jewar Airport and the wider

2)The UP State Road Transport Corporation is electrifying its bus fleet for Mahakumbh 2025, with
plans to hire women drivers for the new electric buses.

3)This initiative reflects #UPGovt’s commitment to sustainability and gender inclusivity in public
transport.

4)For the Mahakumbh-2025, UPSRTC will deploy 7,000 buses in two phases to facilitate pilgrims. The
first phase will see 3,050 buses, with the full fleet operational in the second phase. Additionally, 550
city buses will be available, including 200 managed by Urban Transport and 350 by the Transport
Corporation

5)The UPSRTC has sanctioned ₹200 crore to introduce 120 electric buses in NCR cities like Noida and
Ghaziabad, enhancing public transport while combating air pollution.

6)This initiative aligns with CAQM directives to phase out diesel buses, marking a significant step
towards a cleaner environment.

7)The UPGovt is advancing its e-mobility efforts with the development of a web-based e-mobility
dashboard and a mobile app for the EV Accelerator Cell.

8)Managed by UPDESCO under Invest UP, these tools will offer enhanced data visibility, monitoring,
management, and public engagement, strengthening UP’s commitment to sustainable
transportation.

9)Under UPCM Shri myogiadityanath ji's leadership, 18,000 women are being trained in e-rickshaw
driving through Mission Shakti 4.0.

10)With free training, affordable loans, and subsidies, this initiative supports self-reliance and
economic empowerment, setting a new standard for gender equality in public transport.

11)The #UPGovt has approved ₹500 crore for UPSRTC to add 1,120 new buses, including 120 electric
ones, in the current financial year. This initiative aims to modernize public transport, enhancing
accessibility, efficiency, and environmental sustainability across the state.

12)The Union Cabinet has approved key highway projects, including the Rs 3,935 crore Ayodhya Ring
Road and Rs 3,298 crore Kanpur Ring Road.These initiatives will reduce congestion, improve
connectivity for pilgrims and tourists, and enhance regional transport in Uttar Pradesh.

13)UP's state-run medical transport services have been recognized as the fastest in India, with a
response time of just 7.3 minutes, the best among 12 states. This achievement highlights the state's
commitment to lifesaving services and efficient healthcare delivery.
14)To curb road accidents, @UPGovt is creating new posts for assistant regional transport officers
(ARTOs) at the district level and assistant motor vehicle inspectors (AMVIs) at the tehsil level.

15)Each of the 75 districts will have an ARTO focused on road safety, while all 351 tehsils will have an
AMVI dedicated to promoting road safety measures.UP's transport department, UPSRTC, is setting a
national example!

16)UPSRTCHQ bagged 3 prestigious awards from ASRTU Delhi for excellence in road safety, fuel
efficiency, and innovative initiatives.This recognition highlights the positive impact of the Uttar
Pradesh government's reforms in the transport sector.

17)In a significant shift towards sustainability, Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation
(UPSRTC) plans to introduce over 5,000 electric buses next year & a staggering 50,000 within the
next five years under the guidance of UPCM Shri myogiadityanath ji.

18)This initiative marks a major stride towards cleaner air and a more sustainable future for public
transportation in Uttar Pradesh.

19)The Uttar Pradesh Interstate Waterways Bill-2023 was approved by the state cabinet,

Public Transport Modernization

20)UPCM yogi adityanath announced that the bill will now be sent to the Assembly, after which it
will become an act. Ganga, Yamuna and other rivers in UP account for 11 national waterways. It has
been decided to constitute this authority for promotion and regulation of water transport and
tourism.

21)Prime Minister Shri narendramodi Ji flagged off a 17km stretch of India’s first regional rapid
transit system (RRTS) in Ghaziabad, underlining his government’s commitment to improve the
standard of living of citizens by bolstering the public transport system and hailing the country’s
developmental progress on land, air and sea.
